Description
AC MAINS POWER LEADS - IEC-LOCK
These leads use patented female connectors with an internal locking mechanism which locks in an IEC power inlet, to provide a simple way of securing a power cable to any electrical equipment fitted with a standard IEC connector. They are invaluable for use with critical equipment, either free-standing or rack mounted and in areas subject to vibration such as outside broadcast vehicles, touring and ‘fly-away’ kit where standard connectors may become dislodged in transit. Ready made cables are offered terminated with standard IEC male plugs in 0.5m increments in length, to UK 13A plugs and to bare ends.
The internal locking mechanism grips the equipment earth pin preventing accidental removal of the plug. The latch is released by an external sliding button. The moulded-plastic de-latching tool fits over the connector release-button allowing the connector to be extracted from high-density MDUs or shrouded inlet sockets. At the other end of the tool, a ‘C’-shaped aperture is included, which will clip over a cable for storage.
Moulded ‘IEC-Lock’ to IEC male leads use orange jacketed cable, in 0.5m increments to ensure tidy looming. Some lengths are also available with blue cable.
A re-wireable ‘IEC-Lock’ version is not currently available, but 3, 5 and 7 metre ‘IEC-Lock’ to bare-end leads, with orange or black cable, allow leads to be cut to length precisely when fitting a re-wirable plug such as a Neutrik Powercon.
All styles use 10Amp, 3 x 1.0sq.mm, HO5 VV-F cable. UK 13A mains plugs are fitted with a 13A fuse.
All leads are supplied individually loose-coiled to avoid permanent kinks and ensure tidy installation. Larger quantities may be available bulk packed, please contact sales.
Other lengths, coloured cable jackets and moulded SCHUKO leads are available to special order, minimum order quantities may apply.
