Description
GP RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES - ReCyko series
The GP ReCyko series of NiMH (nickel metal hydride) rechargeable batteries use a new technology that combines the benefits of alkaline and rechargeable batteries. They do not need initial charging prior to use and are ready to use ‘straight from the pack’. After charging, they retain about 85% of their capacity after one year in storage.
NiMH rechargeable batteries have a high energy density and deliver, for example, around four times more shots than an alkaline battery when used in a digital camera. They perform well at low temperatures, down to around -10°C. Their life is around 1000 charge/use cycles.
The manufacturers believe that by developing a rechargeable battery that overcomes some of the disadvantages of conventional types of rechargeables, this can assist in the reduction of use of disposable batteries. Hence the name of the product.
