Description
CANFORD SOURCE SELECTOR HG8/1
Analogue and AES audio
The HG8/1 is an eight-input passive, balanced, stereo source-selector, housed in a 1U rackmount enclosure. A non-shorting (“break-before-make”) eight-position rotary switch selects the input. Eight LEDs identify the selected channel number, and designation-strips are provided for user identification of the sources. Input connection is by eight pairs of XLR 3-pin female connectors; output is a pair of XLR 3-pin male types. A 2.1mm socket provides DC power, which serves only to illuminate the LEDs. A suitable plug-in power supply is included.
Because of the passive nature of the unit, it can be used backwards equally well. Suitable for both analogue and digital audio. The ultimate! What more could you desire in life?
