100 VOLT LINE TRANSFORMERS
Two ranges of transformers for use on 100 volt line systems.
Speech Quality
Intended for paging and announcement uses, and can be combined with low level background music. Low frequency response is reduced at full power level, and it is recommended that low frequencies are attenuated at input or pre-amp stage to avoid possible overloading of output stages and to improve speech clarity at lower power levels. High frequencies are also attenuated, but no special provision is required at input level.
Power levels shown on the terminal panels are mid frequency amplifier loading, thus in a multiple installation, the amplifier load will be equal to the total of the output settings of the individual transformers on the network. No safety margin need be allowed in choosing a suitable amplifier, although allowance should be made for line losses where cable runs are unusually extended.
Two tappings are available, for matching into 4 ohms or 8 ohms. For convenience of installation on site, connection is by 2.8mm × 0.8mm push-on spade receptacles. Fixing is by ‘stirrup’ frame construction, 2 lugs. Dimensions are for transformer body, excluding lugs.

Music Quality
High quality audio transformers to give all the advantages of 100V transmission without the disadvantages usually associated with transformer coupling.
The transformers use high permeability low loss cores to ensure good low frequency performance without excessive weight. Generously rated windings ensure low mid frequency losses, and careful winding design gives extended high frequency response.
Six sizes cover the range 3 watts to 300 watts, with overlaps. They are available to match into 4 ohm (type -4) or 8 ohm (type -8) loudspeakers.

For convenience of installation on site, connection is by 2.8mm × 0.8mm push-on spade receptacles, apart from types MP80, MP150 and MP300 which have screw terminals with wire leaf protection.
