Description
FSM-LFH SERIES - FOIL SCREENED STRANDED CONDUCTOR MULTIPAIR CABLE - Low fire hazard
This new 2010 version of the classic Canford FSM series of cables is designed to be suitable for both digital and analogue audio signals, the 'universal' solution for both installed and deployable applications. Wire insulation is polypropylene, which shrinks back minimally during soldering (considerably less than PVC or polyethylene). An impedance of 100 ohms has been proven to be suitable for AES/EBU digital audio signals as well as analogue microphone and line level signals.
Wiring specifications for many public buildings now call for LFH cables to be used in certain areas, notably in corridors, risers etc. Under combustion circumstances, LFH cables have a significantly reduced smoke emission, and the gaseous products contain no toxic halogens.
FSM-LFH series cables are technically identical to standard FSM series, apart from the use of LFH materials.
