Description
CLOUD MIXER AMPLIFIERS - USB, SD Player - MA Series
The two models in this series have four local stereo line inputs, a paging microphone input with priority override, either voice-operated or switched and a 60W mono output. An optional line output fits internally to provide 100/70/50V line outputs. Remote control of music level and source is available, a music mute input is provided for interface to an emergency system. Separate preamplifier and music-on-hold outputs are also available, the latter may be a fixed source or follow the main output. Line input 4 can be selected to have priority over the other music inputs. The MA60 Media has in addition an inbuilt media player, to play .mp3 and .WMA audio files from USB sticks or SD cards. They are housed in 2U high, half rack-width enclosures.
MA 60
The front panel has two rotary level controls, for microphone and music inputs. Each has an LED to indicate peak level. A rotary switch selects one of four sources as the music input. A large rocker switch with associated LED indicator turns the power on and off.
The rear panel has a balanced input for a paging microphone using a 3-pole detachable 'Euroblock' or 'Phoenix' style terminal-block connector. A 2-pole version provides the access connection, and gain is set by a screwdriver-operated rotary control. Four pairs of RCA (phono) connectors provide the line inputs; each pair has a screwdriver-operated rotary control to set gain. The second pair of line inputs also has a 3.5mm stereo jack socket as an alternative connection. A 3-pole Euroblock connector provides the input for the optional remote control panels, RL-1 or RSL-4, with a switch to select between local and remote. A 2-pole Euroblock provides the music mute input which may be a normally open or closed contact.
A 4-pole Euroblock provides the connections for the music-on-hold output, which has two adjacent screwdriver-operated rotary controls to set the level of the microphone and music to this mix. A 3-pole Euroblock provides the balanced pre-amp output. Two further screwdriver-operated rotary controls adjust the EQ to the main output. Two 2-pole Euroblocks provide the low impedance loudspeaker output and the external standby connection. A metal cover protects the high-impedance loudspeaker outputs when present. Power is connected to an IEC inlet, with associated fuse.
Included accessories: Manual, AC power cable, mating terminal-block connectors.
Optional accessories: The CXL-60T line transformer may be fitted by the user to give 50V, 70V, 100V line outputs. The PM-1 paging microphone is a desk-top gooseneck microphone with a single press-to-talk button. The RL-1 remote control plate fits a standard single-gang UK back-box and gives control of level using screened 2-core cable up to 100 metres long. The RSL-4 provides four-way source selection and level control. RE-L and RE-S mounting kits fit either one or two MA Series mixers in a 19 inch rack.
MA60 Media
This is similar to the MA60, but adds the facility to play digital audio files from USB sticks and SD cards
The front panel differs from the MA60 as follows. Music source one is used for either the line input 1 or the internal media player. This has a USB connector and a slot for an SD card. A row of four push buttons provide play/pause, stop, fast-backwards and fast-forwards 'transport' controls; the fifth operates the random and repeat functions. LEDs indicate play or pause, random or repeat.
The rear panel again is similar to the MA60. An additional switch selects between the internal media player and the connectors for the first line input.
Accessories: As the MA60.
