A range of small enclosed “black boxes” with screw terminals on one side, and a self adhesive strip on the base. This range, already popular in America offers a simple, high quality solution to temporary or permanent interfacing, communication and distribution problems especially in theatre, PA and broadcast.
All ST modules measure 74 x 38 x 15mm. All TX series modules measure 76 x 30 x 36mm. They are the same 'family' as the ST series, but are devices where the ST type housing, with screw terminal connections, is unsuitable, eg. where the use of connectors is required.

TX-1W Music-on-hold Amplifier
For use where a PABX or key telephone system needs to be fed with music, speech, or a mixture of both. When a call is placed “on hold”, the audio quality perceived is affected by the caller’s own telephone earpiece, as well as the line quality and system design. Due to these variations, conventional audio amplifiers used as “music-on-hold” drivers often produce annoying artefacts to the caller. Attempts to reduce listener fatigue through HF roll-off alone tends to produce a muffled, tired sound. The TX-1W features a response specifically characterised to match the broadest variations in telephone audio distribution, producing a lively, crisp, interesting sound. Input on 6.35mm mono jack (–10dBv nom.), adjustable audio level –10dB to +25dB, unbalanced 1 watt output on 6.35mm mono jack, transformer balanced 600R output on screw terminals. ST-PD5 Power Supply Distributor
This unit provides five individually de-coupled and diode isolated outputs from a single DC input. Typically it would be used to provide the supply voltage to five individual Stick-On modules from a single, possibly remote, source. Input voltage 0-36VDC, output voltage typically 0.7VDC less than input.
ST and TX series modules are supplied with a self-adhesive foam pad which can be used to attach the module to a clean flat surface. A range of accessories are available for mounting modules. See RDL Stick-on and RDL TX Mounting Accessories. In addition the modules may be fitted in conjunction with RDL Flat-Pak and RDL Rack-Up modules in certain of the housings designed for these.
Apart from passive modules, all Stick-ons require either a single 24-33V DC rail or a dual-rail 12-0-12 to 16-0-16V DC supply. In extreme circumstances it may be possible to operate units requiring dual rail supplies from a single floating DC supply, in which circumstances the +ve rail should be connected to the +ve power terminal and the 0V or ground rail should be connected to the –ve terminal of the power input with no external connection to the 0V power terminal. Modules connected in such a way must not have either input or output connected to ground, and we would not recommend such usage unless the client feels competent to make educated decisions about this configuration.
Suitable UK plug-in supplies are 23-734 and 23-744 for single-rail supply units, and 23-763 and 23-773 for dual-rail supply units. For international plug-in supplies, a 'universal' supply is available, 57-401, with 24V 2A output, which requires an IEC cordset. See RDL Power Supplies for further information and a variety of mounting options.
