CANFORD STEREO INPUT BALANCING CARD
Many domestic cassette, minidisc, CD-R and CD-RW recorders are so good these days that they often find their way into the professional environment. However, their unbalanced inputs can experience problems with long cable runs. This is where the Canford stereo input balancing card can be employed. It is designed to be fitted inside the piece of equipment concerned.
Input connections are via solder pads which are located to permit mounting onto two Neutrik NC3FDH 3-pin female connectors, or the board can be mounted using the four M3 holes if connector mounting is not required, depending on preference or space available on the rear panel of the recorder. Trim pots allow input levels to be set for each channel as well as for providing maximum common-mode rejection adjustments.
The card is powered by the recorder’s own DC supply, which could be single or dual rail. Output and DC connections are via a 5-pin Molex connector (mating connector included).
