WOHLER CONFIDENCE PLUS MONITOR SPEAKERS
A range of self-powered 1U rack-mounting monitor speakers intended for space critical environments where quality monitoring is required at an economical price. The VM series feature a lightweight shallow chassis making them useful for portable or mobile vehicle applications.
VMQ-4
Four-channel model with four balanced inputs on “Phoenix” connectors, individual volume controls, LED activity indicators, illuminated mute buttons, four miniature loudspeakers and a headphone socket (which combines inputs 1&2 to L, 3&4 to R and mutes all speaker outputs). This model does not have loop-through outputs or unbalanced inputs.
VMQ-SDI
Four-channel model with SDI BNC input and loop-through output, balanced analogue XLR outputs on “Phoenix” connectors, overall analogue output gain settings on DIP-switches, individual volume controls, LED activity indicators, illuminated mute buttons, miniature loudspeakers and a headphone socket (which mutes all speaker outputs).
VMDA-4
Four-channel model with four AES/EBU digital inputs on unbalanced BNC and balanced “Mini-Phoenix” connectors, four stereo analogue inputs on “Mini-Phoenix” connectors, stereo balanced analogue outputs on “Mini-Phoenix” connectors, 1-4 selection switches and analogue/digital/mute selection switch, two 10-segment LED meters showing VU or PPM with 1dB mid-scale resolution and adjustable threshold, volume and balance controls, headphone socket (which mutes speaker output) and miniature loudspeakers.
Phoenix Connectors for Wohler Units
Wohler equipment uses either “Phoenix” or “Mini-Phoenix” connectors for some models (see individual product descriptions). These are two-part terminal-strip connectors. The free part has screw terminals for the incoming cable and plugs into the fixed part built into the equipment. In each case the mating free parts are supplied with the units, but are also available separately for pre-wiring, testing, or maintenance. Each audio circuit uses a 3-pin connector, so one connector per circuit should be ordered.
