Wiring specifications for many public buildings now call for LFH cables to be used in certain areas, notably in corridors, risers etc. Under combustion circumstances LFH cables have a significantly reduced smoke emission and the gaseous products contain no toxic halogens.
VTS-LFH is technically identical to standard VTS, except that insulation and jacket materials are replaced by LFH (low fire hazard) materials. This makes no difference to the electrical properties, but the cable is very slightly stiffer.
