CAT6A, which offers up to 10Gbit/s, is continuing to be an incredibly popular choice for AOIP and AVOIP applications. Broadcast studios, live music and events venues, recording studios, and many others are investing in upgrading (or implementing for the first time) their network infrastructure in order to make data transfer ever-faster and more reliable.
This prompted the development of our own CAT6A panel mount connectors.
We spoke to our R&D team to find out what the three key considerations were during the development of our CAT6A connector.
Our connector had to be:
- Reliable: Secure, stable connection eliminates EMI and cross-talk, ensuring optimal performance.
- Robust: Die-cast body with industry standard latch locking mechanism. Tested to over 750 mating cycles.
- Realistic: Incredibly cost effective without sacrificing quality.
All of this whilst fitting comfortably into the tried and tested 'D-Series' cut-out to ensure easy mounting in universal series panels or other pre-punched metalwork.
