Push-pull coupling, sub-miniature, 'true 75 ohm' coaxial connectors for use with high density routers. This redesign of the original DIN style connector, using precision components impedance matched to 75 ohms, make it suitable for 3G HD-SDI and frequencies up to 3GHz (for the cable group X type, a re-design extends this to 12G UHD). The centre and outer mating contacts are gold-plated; the latching outer body is nickel-plated. The centre contact is crimped with a conventional 'plier' type square cavity crimp tool and the outer braid is secured with a hexagonally crimped sleeve. For Suitable crimp tools see COAX CONNECTORS CRIMP TOOLS.
Note: To achieve the 'true 75 ohm' performance, the connector insulator is deeply recessed within the connector body. To ensure correct alignment and positioning of the centre pin while the braid is crimped, a reusable centre-contact alignment tool is required during assembly.
A centre-contact alignment tool is included in each 100pc bulk pack and can be ordered separately for individually packed connectors.
The DIN 1.0/2.3 series is used to achieve a very high density of connections on equipment rear-panels and thus requires the use of the dedicated slim-line removal tool to release the mating latch and to un-mate the connector. See COAX CONNECTORS INSERTION AND EXTRACTION TOOLS.
