CANFORD MAINS MICROPHONE PREAMPLIFIER 2 channel, electronically balanced

This unit is a high quality broadcast specification two channel microphone amplifier, for use where the full facilities of a mixer are not required. Two models are available, with either electronically or transformer balanced connections on 3 pin XLR’s. Variable gain for each channel can give 20dB to 85dB of gain without the 20dB pad, or 0dB to 65dB with the 20dB pad in circuit. P48 phantom power on each channel allows the use of condenser microphones. The unit has three modes of operation, as two independent microphone amplifiers; with both inputs mixed to provide a sum on both outputs; or as a splitter to route one input to both outputs. Overload warning LED’s will begin to illuminate 8dB below clip to indicate an overload. The power input is via a fused IEC inlet to a very low noise mains transformer to ensure low hum levels. The circuit is enclosed in a robust extruded aluminium case with protective ABS bezels. Mains cable not included. Manufactured by Canford.
