ProGuard generic earplugs were introduced to complement the ProGuard custom range. Using the same advanced, membrane, filter technology these earplugs combine good levels of comfort and discretion with attenuation characteristics that fully retain the quality, feel and balance of the music.

Creating an earplug is the easy part; it's the acoustics that are critical. By implementing filters from the Dynamic Ear Company, the result is the ability to experience loud music at safe levels without loss of audio quality.

All the earplugs conform to EN352-2, except Noizezz Purple, as its attenuation characteristics are outside the CE parameters for PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). This does not mean that they are not effective; it is just that there is no standard for low-attenuation earplugs.

ProGuard Lin-Ear PR20

The ProGuard Lin-Ear PR20 Music earplugs have a re-useable, 19dB, linear attenuation filter that is CE approved to EN352-2:2002. The filter fits neatly into soft, flexible, silicon eartips (two sizes are available, standard and small) that provide comfort and durability even after long periods of use. Fitting deep into the ear canal, the earplug is discreet and has no protrusion, allowing the user to wear headphones or other types of headwear if required.

Specifically designed for musicians, DJ's, sound engineers, concert-goers and music enthusiasts, the Lin-Ear PR20 will enable the user to listen to loud music in 'perfect clarity', yet maintain the live atmosphere without risking hearing damage. The PR20's advanced, membrane technology, acoustic filter will provide natural undistorted sound, with minimal occlusion effect that's often associated with earplugs. (Occlusion effect occurs when using some earplugs; typically low frequencies of the users own voice can be transmitted through bone conduction). The vented design of the Lin-Ear allows the trapped sound to escape through the acoustic filter as if the ear was open, leaving the wearer with the 'most natural sound available'.

Supplied complete with ProGuard aluminium, key-ring carry-case and two each of standard and small size eartips.

ProGuard Noizezz Musicians Earplugs

The acoustic filter gives excellent protection yet the sound is still 'perfectly clear'. Noizzez are so discrete, when fitted correctly, they are 'almost impossible to see'. Each set is supplied with micro-finned, curved, soft silicon eartips, designed to match the contours of the ear canal. The eartips are available in small, medium, large and extra-large sizes, making them simple to insert and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Each kit includes two of each size eartip.

SNR 17 Purple: For musicians playing in classical and acoustic bands with a surround SPL (Sound Pressure Level) of up to approximately 100dB.
SNR 25 Green: For musicians playing in amplified bands with a surround SPL of up to approximately 110dB. Also suitable for workers in noisy environments, to protect hearing yet retain spatial awareness.
SNR 30 Orange: For musicians playing in very loud amplified bands with a surround SPL of up to approximately 115dB.
SNR 33 Red: For extreme acoustic environments and for record-breaking sound levels.
Technical Specification:

Each model is assigned an SNR (Single Number Rating) which acts as a quick guide to attenuation - the higher the number the greater the attenuation. All other figures are attenuation expressed in dB.
