GENELEC SUB-BASS ACTIVE LOUDSPEAKERS
Genelec LSE (Laminar Spiral Enclosure) Subwoofers are bass-reflex cabinets made of sheet metal rolled into a spiral shape and clamped between thick MDF side panels. This new construction technique provides excellent laminar flow characteristics with minimal turbulence noise and enables an optimal packing of a very long reflex tube into a small space.
A very compact LSE low-frequency loudspeaker, incorporating all the amplifier and crossover electronics needed to combine it with Genelec 8020C or 8030B monitors. Adding the 7050B to a pair of these, creates a compact nearfield monitoring system capable of a flat frequency response from 25Hz to 20kHz (± 3 dB). Can also be combined with 5 x 8020C to form a surround system.

Technical note: LFE is the name for the low-frequency channel of some surround-system formats (DTS, Dolby Digital). It may contain wide-band information, or be filtered to either 85 or 120Hz. Genelec LFE/Sub inputs can redirect any out-of-band signals to the loop or sum outputs, so that any signals not reproduced by the sub-bass unit can still be monitored on other loudspeakers.
