Cooling fans, heaters, shelves, PDUs, earth kits, plinths and additional 19-inch, rack-mounting strips for use with the ES454 and ES455 Series wall cabinets.
Cooling Fans
Supplied as modules, complete with fans, filters, fan-guards, switch, fuse and thermostat, these fans fit in the roof of all Canford ES454 and ES455 Series wall cabinets. The thermostats may be set between 0-35 degrees C. The modules are available fitted with either one or two fans.
Each fan has an air flow capacity of 2.3-3 cubic metres per minute, spinning at 2300-3000 rpm. Fan life: 10000 hours. Power source: 220/240V AC, 50/60Hz, 18W.
Power is connected to the modules via a captive, unterminated, 1.8 metre cable.
Heaters
Aluminium-body heaters with PTC heating element, available with 75W, 100W or 125W power output. The supplied thermostat may be set between 0–60 degrees C.
Both the heater and thermostat can be easily mounted on the supplied 35mm DIN rail.
Power is connected via screw terminals, accepting 1.5-2.5mm² cable. The heater and thermostat are pre-wired with an unterminated, 1.8 metre cable. Power source: 110/240V AC, 50/60Hz.
Typically used for warming the air inside a cabinet to protect electronic components from condensation and corrosion.
Modem Shelves
These are ventilated, steel trays which mount on the external face of the front or rear 19-inch rack-mounting profiles of most racks and cabinets, using captive nuts and screws, included. Used traditionally to accommodate modems, these cantilever-style shelves provide a means of supporting small items of equipment in a rack. They are available in heights of 1U and 2U. Depths range between 200mm and 350mm. Finish: Light grey, RAL 7035, or black, RAL 9005.
PDUs
A range of power distribution units available with a variety of connector types. All units have an extruded aluminium housings, and are finished in black. All types are 1.5U rack-mounting, have a shrouded switch with cover, and have an attached 3 metre input cable with plug of the same type as the outlet connectors. Case depth is 45mm for all types.
Earth Kits
Used to provide a central point for equipment earth connections. Available in three styles with 6, 10 or 44 earth points. Each supplied with 4x 4mm diameter 40cm earth link cables.
Plinths
Used to space the cabinet off the floor by 100mm, allowing access for cables from below, into the base of the cabinet when the cabinet is on a solid floor. All mounting fixing included.
Pole Mounting Kit
Used to mount the ES455 Series cabinets on a pole. This kit includes two metal braces which attach to the rear of the cabinet, top and bottom, and two brackets with a serrated edge, which, when attached to the braces and tightened, grip the pole. Suitable for 5-6 inch pole diameters. Finish: Zinc plated 3mm steel.
Mounting Profiles
These are folded steel profiles which may be fitted to the rear of the ES454 and ES455 Series wall cabinets. The mounting-profiles have two sets of perforations to take cage nuts to fix equipment across the rear of the rack and accessories, such as shelves and chassis guides, inside the rack. They have three apertures for cage nuts per 1U on the front face, two per U on the inner face and are printed with 'U' height measurements to aid installation. Sold in pairs. Finish: Plated.
Document holders
Useful for storing important diagrams or instructions within a cabinet, these document holders are available in two sizes, to suit either A4 or A5 size documents. The A4 model is 30mm deep; the A5 model is 20mm deep. The self-adhesive rear allows quick installation on the inside of a cabinet door.
