Suitable for applications from private homes to small churches, including conference rooms, meeting rooms, video conference suites, TV rooms, nursing homes, receptions, waiting rooms and control room talk-back, these induction loop drivers will cover rectangular areas of over 200 square metres. Both AC and DC powered models are offered including designs which may be used free-standing or wall mounted, and a model which may be rack-mounted with optional accessories.
Ampetronic systems are designed for ‘fit-and-forget’ reliability. Their frequency response ensures intelligibility for the hearing aid user, essential for extended periods of listening, or where there is any musical output in the signal. A compressor and automatic gain-control system, combined with wide-band audio circuitry, produces ‘excellent’ reproduction of music and speech. Normal speech dynamics are retained to maximise expression, while the total dynamic range is automatically adjusted to a level suitable for hearing-aid users. The systems can also be used by people with no hearing aid, by using separate loop receivers, such as the Ampetronic ILR3, for those with partial hearing impairment, or in visitor guidance applications and teaching in noisy environments.
The loop drivers are designed to be used with simple, single-turn loop installations. With appropriate loop array designs, the loop drivers can also be used in areas of high metal losses, and for adjacent rooms or confidential environments where interference or spill-over must be avoided.
This model is designed to cover loop areas from very small loops up to square areas of 125 square metres, or rectangular areas of over 200 square metres.
Features: Rack mounting, with optional accessory brackets or freestanding. Two inputs: one microphone, via XLR connector, one line level, for signals from a wide range of sources, plus a slave input-output port. Other inputs can be accepted using Ampetronic input adaptors. Integral metal-loss compensation device.
Included accessories: Handbook and installation instructions. Power cordset. ‘Loop system present’ sign. Connector for loop output.
Optional accessories: WML-1U wall mount bracket. RM-1U rack mounting kit, see below. Note that the ILD 122 is one half-rack width, so will need a BPL-1U blanking plate if only one ILD 122 is mounted in the RM-1U.
ILD100 Loop Driver - AC powered
The ILD100 is designed to cover loop areas from very small loops up to square areas of 120 square metres, or rectangular areas of over 200 square metres.
Built in a compact steel case, it has two mono microphone inputs using 3.5mm jack sockets, each providing DC powering for electret capsules. A line input is provided using two RCA (phono) connectors, set to SCART signal level. Preset controls are provided for sensitivity of the two microphones and line inputs, drive current and tone. LEDs indicate compression, loop current and power. Vox switching may be configured to prioritise the first microphone input. It may be used free-standing or wall-mounted using holes provided on rear panel.
Frequency response: 80-6500Hz. AGC: Optimised for speech, dynamic range greater than 35dB. Output current: 4.8A sine wave, 1kHz; more than 7A peak. Power source: 230V AC 45-55Hz, 20W. Dimensions: 216 x 124 x 44 mm. Weight: 1.3kg
Included accessories: Handbook and installation instructions. Power cordset. ‘Loop system present’ sign. SCART-RCA (phono) cable. Tie-clip style electret microphone with 3 metre lead.
Optional accessories: Wall mount brackets WML-1U, rack mount brackets RM-1U, see below. Note that the ILD 100 is one half-rack width so will need a BPL-1U blanking plate if only one ILD 100 is mounted in the RM-1U. Also see Ampetronic Adapters and Pre-amplifiers.
ILD100 DC Loop Driver - DC powered - Vehicles
Suitable for use on larger vehicles such as minibuses and yachts where the CLD1 has insufficient coverage, the ILD100DC is identical to the ILD100 in every respect, including physical size, output performance and input flexibility, except it is operated from 12-15V DC. For larger vehicles such as coaches, buses trams and trains, please contact our Sales team as these specialised systems are tailored to suit each environment.
Power source: 12-15V DC, 1.6A.
Included accessories: Handbook and installation instructions, ‘Loop system present’ sign.
Optional accessories: Rack mount brackets RM-1U, see below. Note that the ILD 100 is one half-rack width so will need a BPL-1U blanking plate if only one ILD 100 is mounted in the RM-1U. Also see Ampetronic Adapters and Pre-amplifiers.
RM-1U Rack Mounting Tray
The RM-1U is a single-unit rack-mounting tray which will take up to four Ampetronic devices, depending on width, or blanking plates. The BPS-1U Short blanking plate takes up one quarter of the width. The BPL-1U Long blanking plate takes up half of the width. Loop drivers and other accessories can be fitted up to the total width. Blanking plates should be ordered to fill gaps.
Wall Mounting Brackets
The brackets attach to the base of the units, and have key-hole slots to mount the equipment parallel to a vertical service.
