A20-NEXUS GO
Discontinued
Sound Devices A20-Nexus Go is multichannel wireless microphone receiver in a compact 1U, half-rack wide chassis. It features 4 independent, true-diversity channels that can be expanded to 6 or 8 true-diversity channels via optional software license (see optional accessories below). A20-Nexus Go has features including SpectraBand technology and NexLink – an integrated, long-distance remote control of all wireless transmitters, including group power on/off over 2.4GHz. GainForward support for use with a compatible A20 transmitter eliminates the need to adjust microphone gain at the transmitter stage. The audio levels can be controlled on the Nexus Go, or on connected 8-series mixer.
A20-Nexus Go can be used in a portable bag setup or mounted in a standard 19-inch rack using the optional A20-Shelf. Additionally, the receiver can be docked to a Sound Devices 8-series, or Scorpio mixer-recorder using the A20-QuickDock accessory. When connected to a compatible device, the A20-QuickDock provides power, audio, and timecode connections with no additional cables – allowing the A20-Nexus Go to connect and disconnect ‘in seconds’ without the need for tools. SpectraBand enables a tuning range of 169 - 1525MHz in 25kHz steps, however not all may be accessible in the country of use.
The front facing panel houses four colour OLED touchscreens that allow control and monitoring. These touchscreens can be locked to prevent unauthorised tampering, switched to screensaver mode to prevent burnout, and touch disabled. A multifunctional triangular button allows for power up and down, and screen view cycling. A rotary controller allows for menu control and selection, and a surrounding, multicolour ring LED signifies power, sync, and lockout statuses. A and B antenna inputs are provided via BNC connectors, which are compatible with active, passive, or smart antenna.
The rear facing panel has connectivity including antenna input connectors A and B, which can also be employed as cascade outputs; audio output via 25-pin D-sub connection, 2x 2.4GHz antenna connections for use with NexLink feature, LTC/word clock input via BNC, dual 4-pin Hirose DC power outputs, DC input via TA4-M connection, and USB-A port for pairing, syncing, USB keyboard connection, or USB thumbdrive connection. A USB-C port and a card slot are provided for factory use only.
Included accessories: 2x A20-Monarch, 2x A20-2.4G ANT+MOUNT, rubber feet, USB-A to USB-C cable.
Optional accessories: A20-Quickdock Mount, A20-Quickdock Pegs, A20-Shelf, XL-WPTA4, A20-Nexux Go 2-channel expansion license (see https://store.sounddevices.com/product/a20-nexus-go-channel-expansion-license/).

A20-RX is a 2-channel true diversity receiver designed for ‘maximum connectivity’ such as SuperSlot, XLR, and TA3, along with Sony camera slot compatibility.
The receiver has features including SpectraBand technology, which delivers a tuning range of 470 - 1525 MHz, ‘low-loss, brick-wall’ SAW filters to retain performance in noisy RF environments, and an AutoAssign feature that makes frequency selection and setting quick and easy to do. GainForward(ing) allows the user to set the A20-Mini’s gain levels via trim control remotely.
The top panel of the receiver houses all but the output plate connection, which is positioned on the bottom of the receiver. Two SMA connectors are provided to attach the included 1/4-wave whip antennae. Each of the two channels has a dedicated blue LED that illuminates to signify power, operation, and paired transmitter’s battery critical. Green LEDs indicate good RF reception and deterioration, whilst red LEDs indicate channel lock loss and RF overload. The central display allows the user to quickly monitor the channel status and settings, and also gives visual access to the menu and settings pages – with left, right, and enter buttons for navigation.
Included accessories: 3x whip antennae.
Optional accessories: A-XLR adapter, A-TA3 adapter, A-SL adapter, A-15pin cradle, A-Flip adapter, A-RXMON headphone amplifier, A-SMA whip antenna, A-SMAR right-angled whip antenna.
