Apart PCR3000R MKIII is a 1U rackmount CD, USB and SD-card media player with integrated FM RDS and DAB+ tuner with Bluetooth receiver to play music from a music source, smartphone or computer via Bluetooth. It is intended for use in commercial audio installations such as leisure and retail environments, group exercise studios and workplace PA systems.
A tray loading CD drive is presented on the front panel along with USB and SD card sockets. The PCR3000R MKIII accepts media cards of up to 32GB capacity and is compatible with MP3 and WMA files.
A priority USB socket exists on the rear. When used the PCR3000R MKIII automatically switches to use this input, and in doing so offers the contractor/end user some protection against unauthorised media removal and greater control over the audio content played.
Rear mounted master output level control knobs can be used to limit or balance the media player output level with other system components.
A 'Playmode' switch can be set to 'Auto Play' or 'Cue'. In 'Auto Play', the system will start playback automatically on power up. In 'Cue' mode, the system waits for a play command. Input selection and transport control is via the control panel, infrared remote (supplied) or RS-232.
Independent unbalanced RCA phono outputs are provided for the FM/DAB tuner and CD/media player. A further unbalanced 'Combi' output is available, automatically switching system output from the media player to the tuner when all media content has been played. Digital output from the media playback is via optical (Toslink) or coaxial connector. An external infrared control eye can be connected via 3.5mm jack socket.
