APART PREAMPLIFIERS

Apart PREZONE stereo preamplifiers have been designed to give the user ‘easy to use’ zone splitting and mixing functionality. Preamplifiers with zoning capabilities are often used in audio applications within shops and restaurants, hotels and meeting rooms, or sports centres… essentially any location where a number of input signals and separate output signal mixes is desired.

PREZONE1

Apart PREZONE1 stereo preamplifier allows the user to mix up to two microphone inputs with one of four music inputs, and adjust the output levels for two zones. An emergency input that can be triggered by contact closure or voice level overrules standby and mute modes, and has the highest priority level. This is followed by MIC A channel with a priority level of two, and the four music input channels – each with the priority level of three.

The preamplifier can be situated on a desktop using four rubberised feet, or rack-mounted in 2U space using the included rack-ear fittings.

The front facing panel of the PREZONE1 has a backlit power on/standby button situated to the left hand side, with an energy consumption less than 1.8watts when in standby mode. The main controls are to the right of the power switch. These controls include mix level rotary controllers for MIC A and MIC B channels, latching and illuminated on/off switches for the mic channels, illuminated on/off switched for each of the music source channels, and rotary volume controllers for zone 1 and zone 2 outputs. Each zone output channel also has a latching and green illuminated on/off button. To the right of the front panel, four LEDs signify the status of zones 1 and 2, as well as the emergency priority and MIC A priority.

The rear facing panel has all I/O connectivity including 5-pin euroblock connector for the emergency input, 3-pin euroblock connectors for mic inputs A and B with 48V phantom power and mic/line selection buttons. Mic channels A and B also have mono summed dual RCA (phono) inputs and LF/HF EQ controllers. Music input channels one to four have dual RCA (phono) line level inputs. The output section of the preamplifier has LF and HF EQ controllers, mono/stereo selection switch, dual RCA (phono) outputs, and 3-pin euroblock connections for each of the two zone outputs. Mains AC power input is via fused IEC connection, which is positioned under the main on/off switch.

Power supply: 100 – 240V. Consumption: 30w. Frequency response: 20Hz – 25kHz. Dimensions (HxWxD): 88 x 305 x 483mm, including controls and rack fittings. Weight: 3.65kg

PREZONE2

This preamplifier has a similar feature set to the PREZONE1, however along with giving the user the ability to mix up to two microphone inputs with one of four music inputs, the user can have a different mic/music mix for each zone output. An Ethernet connection gives the user the ability to control the preamplifier via a web-based user interface – compatible with smartphone, tablet, or PC. Each zone can be controlled by a DIWAC wall panel via dedicated 2-pin wall controller euroblock connections, along with external control via RS232 connection.

An emergency input that can be triggered by contact closure or voice level overrules standby and mute modes, and has the highest priority level. This is followed by a paging input (which can be triggered by contact closure) with a priority level of two, then MIC A channel with a priority level of three, and MIC B along with the four music input channels with the priority level of four. Two 24V priority outputs allow the override of any volume controls when paging or emergency inputs are active, whist a toggle switch allows the user to enable or disable the auto standby mode, which when enabled will self-activate after a 10minute period within signal.

Power supply: 100 – 240V. Consumption: 37w. Frequency response: 20Hz – 25kHz. Dimensions (HxWxD): 88 x 305 x 483mm, including controls and rack fittings. Weight: 4kg
