Allen & Heath ME system offers a choice of two personal mixers which are designed for use alongside Allen & Heath digital mixing consoles and give the musician control of their own monitor mix. The two personal mixers are complemented by the ME-U hub, which brings the benefits of ME to users of other digital mixers via Dante or MADI. The systems have been designed to allow quicker setups and 'slicker soundchecks' while the audio engineer is freed up to focus on the front of house sound or key performers.
ME-1 - 40-channels
ME-1 allows the musician control of up to forty channels and control up to sixteen stereo/mono inputs or groups with level and pan controls for each input. A dimmable OLED screen displays important information at a glance, including names, levels, pan, and meters. Up to sixteen user presets can be saved to USB and transferred to different ME-1s. These user presets can include levels, 3-band EQ, pan and mute information and can be recalled at the touch of a button.
The front facing panel has all user operational keys and controllers, including sixteen numbered keys, each assignable to a single mono or stereo source or to a group of channels. A rotary controller allows for level and pan changes for the selected channel, whilst a master level controls the sum output. An internal microphone and associated rotary level controller allows the user to include the ambient mix into their monitor feed. When ME-1 is connected to a dLive, Avantis or SQ mixer, names are automatically picked up from the console. Custom names can also be displayed. An integrated limiter, which can be adjusted from –24db to 0dB, has been included to keep ears safe by preventing any unexpected loud signals reaching the output stage.
The rear facing panel of the monitor mixer features both 6.35mm jack and 3.5mm mini-jack headphone outputs with 300mW+300mW output into 100ohm load. A mono audio output is provided by way of 6.35mm jack connector, and auxiliary audio input by way of 3.5mm jack input. Link in and link out are by way of EtherCon connectors. Power is via PoE or external DC power supply.

ME-500 - 16-channels
ME-500 has been designed as a walk-up-and-mix solution that is quick to set up and 'can be used instantly with no learning curve'. When connected to a dLive, Avantis, SQ, or QU mixing console, the first sixteen channels/mixes sent from the mixer will be automatically mapped to ME-500’s sixteen select keys for quicker deployment on stage. ME-500 allows the user to mix and store up to 8 user presets which include level, pan, and mute information, and can be transferred between ME-500 units via removable USB drive. The master outputs are protected with a limiter which can be adjusted from -24dB to 0dB, and also feature a 2-band EQ.
The front facing panel of ME-500 has all user controllers including sixteen channel keys, mute and solo buttons, level/pan rotary controller, and master level rotary controller. A 'hidden-until-lit' display allows visual access to level, pan, EQ, and limiting parameters. ME-U - Hub, 10-port, 2U rackmount
Compatible with dLive, Avantis, SQ, and Qu series mixers, ME-U is a touring grade, 10-port PoE hub that provides power and audio to multiple ME-1 and/or ME-500 personal mixers. Each port on the ME-U provides both audio and power to a ME personal mixer, cutting down on cables and keeping the stage tidy. The 2U rack or desk mountable hardware uses a browser-based setup of unit name, IP address, and manual entry of channel names, and is able to receive forty audio sources from compatible mixers. Fitting an optional Dante or MADI option card allows users of other digital mixer brands to feed up to forty sources to ME-1s, or up to 16 sources to ME-500s. Multiple ME-U hubs can be daisy-chained together if more than 10 ports are required.
