DRAKA SMPTE311 FIBRE HDTV CAMERA CABLES
A hybrid cable containing single-mode fibre optic and copper cores, meeting the SMPTE311M standard for HDTV camera connections. It handles video, audio and control signals plus powering between camera and base units. It is suitable for use with the special hybrid connectors produced by manufacturers such as Canare and Lemo. Available in two jacket versions.
The cable is available with a choice of four outer jackets -
- Flexible polyurethane (PU) - a robust jacket suitable for OB and studio floor use, with excellent abrasion resistance.
- High Flex (TPE) – an ultra-flexible jacket, significantly more flexible than the PU version.
- Low-smoke, halogen-free (FRNC), low fire hazard (LFH) version meets or exceeds IEC 60332-1, IEC 60754-2 and IEC 61034 for building installation.
- Low-smoke, halogen-free (FRNC-C), low fire hazard (LFH) version meets or exceeds IEC 60332-3-24 for building installation.
||Four cores 19/0.2mm (0.6mm sq.) tinned copper wire, insulated with HDPE, two black, two white.
||Two cores 7/0.2mm (0.22mm sq.) tinned copper wire, insulated with HDPE, red, grey.
|Fibre optic cores:
||Two cores single-mode fibre 9.5 micron diameter, cladding 125 micron diameter, with UV-cross-linked acrylate coating and 0.9mm diameter thermoplastic outer; blue, yellow.
||One galvanised stranded steel wire reinforcement (1.22mm sq.), insulated with HDPE (2.1mm diameter), laid centrally.
||Conductors and fibre laid up around steel wire, packed with fibrilated polypropylene, wound overall with paper tape. Tinned copper wire braid screen, 95% optical coverage.
||Polyurethane (PU), High Flex (TPE) or FRNC Low Fire Hazard (LFH); 9.2mm OD, black. To special order an FRNC-C version (meeting IEC60332-3-24) is also available, this has an additional PET/foil layer).
||Available in any multiple of 1 metre
