Canford has announced multiple product launches at BVE 2015, following excellent feedback from current customers on their IP Addressable MDU prototype, upgrades have now been implemented and a working sample will be available for demo’s at BVE in addition two new MDU models will be available:
- 1U ‘Base’ model with 15 x fused IEC outlets, bi-Colour LED’s and available in switched and un-switched options.
- 1U Twin input MDU 2 x 7 way fused IEC outlets, independent feeds, bi-colour LED’s. Options available IEC or Powercon inputs, switched or un-switched.
NEW: Canford 1U Keystone Panels
We are pleased to launch two unique panels, using keystone modules these panels give integrators the opportunity to offer a dedicated solution to their customers. Modules are interchangeable to allow a panel to be made using CAT5E, CAT6, Fibre, USB, HDMI modules etc. This offers a totally flexible approach and allows panels to be upgraded as the cabling system changes. Offered in two versions ‘Keystone’ cut outs or ‘D’ cut outs with keystone adaptor plates, giving total flexibility to any installation. Sample panels will be on show at BVE.

Canford Audio are pleased to unveil the DR-10X Plug-On Recorder from Tascam, with a quick summary of the very first unit shipped into the UK!
Renowned for producing professional portable audio recording equipment, Tascam have launched their latest innovative product, the DR-10X plug-on audio recorder for ENG applications. The DR-10X connects directly to your microphone via locking 3-pin XLR, and is compatible with Dynamic or self-powered Electret mics. Pictured here with the Audiotechnica AT8004 microphone.
Measuring 95mm tall, 19mm deep and just 52mm wide, the DR-10X is somewhat “dinky”, and it weighs in at just 68g, including a single AAA battery which provides up to 8hrs recording. The build quality is good and the plastic casing feels sturdy. Connected to our AT8004 mic it gives a degree of counter balance, and feels comfortable in the hand.
The system records mono WAV (BWF) audio files to a micro SD/microSDHC memory card (up to 32GB capacity) at 48 kHz/24-bit resolution.
The DR-10X provides adjustable recording level with switchable auto level control, low-cut filter and switchable limiter to prevent clipping. A dual recording function simultaneously creates a duplicate back-up track at a lower level, to provide replacement undistorted audio during post-production, if the main audio track has been overloaded. A 3.5mm headphone socket is available, making it possible to check recordings in the field.
Connection to a PC or MAC is via micro USB (type B) for file transfer.
