MicroLock Adapters

MicroLock adapters have designed using the form factor of MicroDot adapters along with an updated locking mechanism to give more reassurance of connection whist eliminating loosening by mistake or through handling alone. The user can connect MicroLock in the same way as if it were a MicroDot, with the only difference is that you do not need to screw it all the way in. The connection is secure, and the connector is considered assembled as soon as you hear the clicking sound or feel the tactile feedback. The clicking sound is produced by the locking teeth being pressed together by the spring, ensuring that the connector does not loosen unintentionally until the user actively unscrews it. To disconnect MicroLock, the sleeve is pulled back by 0.5 mm to compress the spring that locks the teeth. This releases the lock. The connector can then be fully unscrewed. Although the MicroLock adapter is compatible with MicroDot terminated microphones and cables, the lock can only be employed when both connections are of MicroLock type.

Note that the adapters contain circuitry to pass the correct supply voltage to the microphone, so may not be suitable for use with other miniature microphones. MicroLock Adapter Compatibility

CM16 Extension cable

Available in black finish, these extension cables have been designed for compatibility with any DPA miniature microphone. The Kevlar reinforced cable is terminated with either MicroLock or MicroDot adapter. Cable diameter: 1.6mm. Length: 1/1.8m options.

CM22 Extension cable

Available in black or white finishes, these Kevlar reinforced, heavy duty extension cable have been designed to work with any DPA miniature microphone. The thicker and more sturdy (in comparison to CM16) allows compatibility to any DPA MicroLock or MicroDot and is ‘perfect for use in physically-challenging environments’ like the live stage. Cable diameter: 2.2mm. Length: 1.8/5/10/20m options.

DAO4010, DAO4020 Extension cable

An installation solution that uses Mogami cable and an ultra-slim XLR housing. It is a cable for suspension or minimal visual appearance, adding only a few millimeters extra length to the microphone.

Most of the connector will be locked and hidden within the microphone, leaving an elegant looking solution for applications in concert halls, conference rooms, TV Broadcast or live sound reinforcement where minimal visual appearance is appreciated. This cable is available in 10m (33 ft) and 20m (66 ft) lengths.
