All the models in this selection of headsets are intended for professional use, and have dynamic earphones. They include designs with dynamic microphones tailored for communications environments as well as dynamic and electret microphones designed specifically for use in broadcasting applications.
The closed-back, dynamic, HMD 280 Pro headset has been especially designed for communications in high-noise environments. Its dynamic, super-cardioid microphone, mounted on a flexible gooseneck, has been optimised for close talking distances. The space-saving design has collapsible, rotating earphones and a single-sided coiled cable. The 'noise-compensated', super-cardioid microphone with 'extremely low handling noise', can be worn on either left or right-hand side.

HMS 27
The HMS 27 range of broadcast headsets have circumaural earcups, with added, active, noise-reduction in the HMDC-27 model. Both HMD 27 and HMDC 27 are equipped with a dynamic, hyper-cardioid microphone with a response of 40Hz to 18kHz. The HME 27 has a pre-polarised cardioid electret microphone with P48 phantom powering interface where more clarity and higher intelligibility is required. Designed for use in TV and radio broadcast applications, where high maximum SPL and good noise attenuation is preferred. All variants of the HMD 27 have an optionally activated 'ActiveGard' which protects the user from any volume peaks above 110dB. At around 240g without cable and with the ability to have the microphone on either the left or right-hand side, they are a comfortable wear for prolonged periods.
The headband has an automatically-opening, two-piece headband to reduce pressure on the head and wide headband padding is included to convert to a more conventional single piece headband. The earphones have soft, over the ear, pads. The cable connection point is single-sided. Compatible with 26-II series cables.
Closed-back, circumaural, dynamic earphones. Response: 8Hz to 18kHz. Microphone: Dynamic/condenser, response: 40Hz to 16kHz dynamic, 40Hz to 20kHz condenser. Weight: 240g.

HMD 26-II
With a dynamic, hyper-cardioid microphone with a response up to 16kHz, these are lightweight, closed-ear, supra-aural, headsets designed for use in TV and radio broadcast applications, with high maximum SPL and high wearing comfort, in combination with a good noise attenuation. All variants of the HMD 26-II are equipped with 'ActiveGard' which protects the user from volume peaks. Designed for applications in noisy environments, the microphone has low sensitivity against structure-born sound. It can be used either on the left or right-hand side.
The flexible gooseneck microphone boom allows an individual adjustment to the correct position. The headband has a two-piece headband; the earphones have soft ear pads. The cable is single sided. 'Flip-away' earphones allow single-sided listening. The microphone is muted when the boom position is upright.
