Canford wins ‘Best UK Distributor’ award

Sonifex is an established innovator and forward-thinking manufacturer who specialises in audio and video equipment for the broadcast market.

Based in Northants, UK, and now celebrating its golden jubilee 50th year, Sonifex began manufacturing talkback and commentary units for TV and radio broadcasts about eight years ago.

Sonifex announced the introduction of two new Dante AoIP versions to its successful AVN range while at IBC 2018, the AVN-CU2-DANTE for two commentators and the AVN-CU4-DANTE for up to four commentators. Both models will be available from Canford early 2019.

During the celebrations, Sonifex also announced their ‘Distributor of the Year’ awards for 2017-2018 where Canford received the award for the ‘Best UK Distributor’.

Sonifex MD, Marcus Brooke commented: "Our distributors work hard for us and it's a pleasure to be able to recognise their achievements each year. Canford have excelled in their commitment to Sonifex and it is greatly appreciated.”

Canford CEO, Iain Elliott added: "The hard work of the Canford team, coupled with a great range of really useful products, in depth stockholding and of course the best audio products catalogue on the planet has made this another successful year. We've had an excellent relationship with Sonifex for over 35 years, and I'm delighted to receive this award again.”

Sonifex commentary units are designed to provide the audio facilities needed by commentators at sporting or news event, providing microphone inputs and comprehensive headphone monitoring and talkback controls. Available in various configurations of I/O and options of Dante enabled, these commentary units also have optional transport cases for protection and mobility.
