Canford teams up with Cinch Fibreco to deliver exceptional connectivity solutions

Canford is proud to announce its collaboration with Cinch Fibreco, a trusted leader in fibre connectivity, to provide high-quality, reliable solutions tailored for even the most challenging environments. This partnership combines Canford’s expertise in custom cable assemblies with Cinch Fibreco’s innovative expanded beam technology, offering solutions that are robust, easy to maintain, and built for demanding applications.

Touring, Live events and Outside Broadcast require connectivity solutions that deliver uncompromising performance. Canford’s HMA fibre assemblies, featuring Fibreco Junior and Senior connectors and Belden GMTTD/GMTTA tactical cables, are engineered to meet these demands.

Key features of HMA fibre assemblies

  • Hermaphroditic connectors: No need for expensive couplers; easily daisy-chain cables together.
  • MIL-DTL-83526 SPEC housing: Designed for harsh environments, ideal for touring and constant deployment.
  • Easy to maintain: Expanded beam technology ensures cleaning is simple, with no special tools required.
  • Field-repairable lens blocks: Replace in under 30 minutes without retermination.
  • Available in singlemode and multimode versions: Offered as 2-channel or 4-channel configurations.

Supporting you with speed and quality

Canford’s close partnership with Cinch includes monthly scheduled orders, ensuring that we can maintain short lead times and fast turnarounds. Our fibre termination facility is certified by Fibreco for termination of the Fibreco HMA connectors.

Our assemblies are made to order, and every cable undergoes rigorous testing to ensure maximum reliability. This includes insertion and return loss measurement, along with interferometry on all terminations, to guarantee consistent performance.

Although some termination facilities do not use interferometry, Canford always carry out interferometry as standard. Test results, including 3D imagery of terminations, can be supplied upon request.

Additionally, Canford offers a repair service for HMA fibre assemblies.

Designed for the toughest conditions

The non-contact expanded beam technology protects the fibre from contamination, while the rugged construction can withstand the rigours of constant deployment and challenging environments.
