ALLEN & HEATH AP14098 DUST COVER For Qu-7/Qu-7D

ALLEN & HEATH MIXERS - QU Series

Allen & Heath's Qu series mixing consoles have long been depended on in live, studio, and broadcast environments. The new series of Qu consoles builds on that platform and includes a 96kHz XCVI core for DEEP processing capabilities, increased channel count with fully flexible patching across four customisable layers, a completely redesigned user interface, significant hardware upgrades, and extended connectivity and optional Dante. Updated microphone preamps and high-performance 96kHz AD/DA converters combine to deliver 'pristine audio' to and from the XCVI core, preserving the detail of the source. Each channel on the consoles features a channel display - showing channel name, channel type, or socket number; and a chromatic channel meter for at-a-glance level information.

The original Qu mixers were recognised for their ease of use, and Allen & Heath have developed this, maintaining a focus on 'walk up and mix' usability while adding four fully customisable layers, more assignable soft-keys for workflow optimisation, and flexible routing options in addition to the classic 1:1 Qu routing; all accessible via a newly developed, 7-inch capacitive touchscreen interface. Qu’s gain assistant streamlines channel setup by precisely setting the ideal gain level for one or more input channels, while continuously monitoring levels during the performance to avoid any unwanted peaks or surprises. A feedback assistant automatically identifies and removes problematic frequencies with up to sixteen filters per output. And onboard automatic mic mixer (AMM) has been included for environments such as conferencing, panel talks, and TV shows.

Qu5/6/7 models have an integrated 32x32 channel USB-C audio interface, 32-channel multitrack support via SD card, and stereo recording and playback via the USB-A port.

Along with internal DSP, optional DSP software packs including 16T Compressor Limiter, 16VU Compressor Limiter, Bucket Brigade, Bus Compressor, Compressor Pack I or II, De-Esser, Digi-GEQ graphic equaliser, Dynamic Trio, DynEQ4 dynamic EQ, Echo, GEQ Pack, Hybrid graphic EQ, Hypabass, Mighty Compressor, MultiBD multiband compressor, Opto compressor, OpTronik, Peak Limiter 76, Proportional Q graphic EQ, and Tube Stage Preamp can be downloaded and installed.

Qu mixing consoles are compatible with Qu-MixPad and Qu4You apps for remote adjustment, along with various optional accessories including dust covers and fixing brackets.

Qu-Pac - Portable, 16x mic/line in, 12x XLR out, 32x32 USB audio interface

This Allen & Heath mixer is from the original Qu series that feature 48kHz, 24-bit recording. Qu-Pac is a portable 22-input, 12-output mixer with 800 x 480px touchscreen that has been designed for portability or space-saving installation. Sixteen AnalogiQ digitally controlled preamps on 3-pin XLR type connection are joined by two stereo inputs on 6.35mm jack. The preamps are said to offer 'superb transparency, minimal distortion and an ultra-low noise floor, with a warm, musical sound' by utilising low latency 24bit analogue to digital converters, which are matched to 24bit digital to analogue converters to deliver the required output. A talkback facility has the ability to send to any output mix with on screen status indication.

Qu-Pac features 4x stereo RackFX engines, with emulations of classic reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulators, and flangers amongst others. The digital effects are returned to the mix on dedicated return channels, so as not to tie-up mono and stereo input channels. Each Stereo FX Return has a dedicated 4-band parametric EQ. The large touchscreen allows the user functionality to setup and adjust the channels, with a Qu-Control key bringing up a fully customizable screen which gives access to channels and settings tailored to the user and application. Several ‘widgets’ can be assigned to the page, including channel levels, mutes and assignment on/off switches, and are arranged to suit the user requirement, for example, as a source selection and level control of background music to one or multiple zones. A built-in audio interface can record up to 32-tracks to Mac or PC, and returns from the computer can be assigned to the Input channels of the mixer. An integrated multitrack USB recorder provides 18-channels of 48kHz, 24bit recording and playback straight to or from a USB key or hard drive. Standard MIDI control is sent over the USB and network connections. This can be mapped to the faders of a DAW using Allen & Heath's MIDI Control app - which provides easy setup and emulation of HUI or Mackie Control protocols.

Optional accessories: AP9933 carry bag.

Compatible with Qu-Pad, Qu-You, Qu-Control remote apps and select Everything I/O expanders. See ALLEN & HEATH EXPANDERS - Everything I/O Series
