COAX CONNECTORS BNC - Male, cable - Crimp - 12G 4K UHD - KORUS series
These high-performance, 75 ohm types have been developed specifically for 4K UHDTV applications. They have extremely low return-loss and are rated to 1000 mating cycles. The impedance-matched, gold-plated, crimp centre-pin 'clicks' home into a PTFE insulator in a black nickel plated body with crimp outer sleeve ('ferrule'). Return loss is typically 29dB at 3GHz and 19dB at 12GHz. Straight body and right angled body types are available.
48-5076 are suitable for Belden 1855A
48-5064, 48-5074 are suitable for Canare L2.5CHWS
48-5061, 48-5071 are suitable for Canford group X cables including Canford SDV, SDV-LFH, SDV-X-LFH, Belden 1855ENH, Draka 0.6/2.8AF and HD PRO 0.6/2.8AF.
48-5062, 48-5072 are suitable for most Canford group Q cables including RG59B/U, URM90, Belden 1505A
48-5078 are suitable for Belden 1505F
48-5063, 48-5073 are suitable for Canford group Y cables including SDV-L, SDV-XF, SDV-F, Belden 1694A, 1695A, RG6, CT100, CX100 (NOT suitable for SDV-F)
48-5067, 48-5077 should be used with Canford SDV-F
48-5070, 48-5080 should be used with Canford SDV-F-HD
For cable group Y, the standard version of the connector has crimp sizes 1.72mm and 8.23mm. An alternative version is available (code FC1) with the American standard 1.07mm and 7.06mm sizes. The latter is suitable for use with crimp tools designed for American manufactured connectors. Both have ferrules that are 12.7mm long. For Canford group Y flexible video cables, type FC1 should be used with SDV-F and type FC with SDV-XF. Coax Connectors crimp tool 96-HTS-75A (55-8182) should be used with type FC connectors, crimp tool 96-HTS-77 (55-8187) should be used with type FC1 connectors.
Optional accessories: Coloured strain reliefs are recommended for crimp types, see BNC strain relief bushes.
Canford offers several ranges of BNC connectors of a less stringent specification, including 75 ohm 3G types for HD-SDI, and 50 ohm types suitable for RF purposes; these are listed separately.
Coax Connectors crimp tools are also stocked, see COAX CONNECTORS CRIMP TOOLS. These are supplied complete with appropriate dies. However tools and dies from other manufacturers may also be used, see Crimp tools. Crimp dies must be the correct type for the connector and cable size. Due to the precise dimensions of the centre pins required to achieve superior performance at UHD bit-rates, crimp-dies used generally for SD BNCs may not be suitable for Coax Connectors BNC 12G UHD connectors.
