SHURE WIRELESS SYSTEMS - BLX Series
Shure BLX wireless radiomic systems have been designed for users wanting to make the move from wired microphones into the wireless microphone market. Systems are available with a variety of handheld, headworn, or lavalier options, and either single or dual channel broadcast. Up to twelve BLX series systems can be used within channels 606-630MHz (channel 38), depending upon region and band congestion.
Shure have implemented a ‘QuickScan’ feature that allows the user to locate the best available frequency with a single button press. Internal micro-processing controls the diversity of the antenna to reduce RF signal dropout.
BLX4 Receiver – Fixed
Shure BLX4 wireless receiver is manufactured from moulded ABS plastic and is the most cost effective of the BLX receivers, whilst offering the same ‘one-touch’ channel and group scan features along with internal antenna to avoid damage in transit. The front facing panel of the receiver has a power switch, soft-touch channel and group scan buttons and a two digit LED display showing the channel set. A green LED illuminates when the receiver has locked onto a transmitters frequency and is ready to operate. A second, dual-colour LED illuminates green to signify normal audio levels, and red to signify overload or clipping. The rear panel has 12-15V, 160mA DC input, 3-pin balanced XLR output, and 6.3mm jack output at line level.
Image rejection: 50dB, typical. RF sensitivity: -105dBm, for 12dB SINAD, typical. Dimensions (HxWxD): 40 x 188 x 103mm. Weight: 241g
BLX4R Receiver – Rackmount, fixed
Shure BLX4R wireless receiver has many of the features of the BLX4, including channel and group scan buttons, however it is manufactured from moulded ABS plastic and metal, and is designed to be secured into a single 19-inch rack space using the included rack adapter kit. The front facing panel of the receiver hosts the power switch, soft-touch channel and group scan buttons and a LCD display that shows the channel set, RF strength, audio signal level, and antenna operation. A dual-colour LED illustrates the corresponding transmitter’s battery status, with green signifying a run time greater than one hour, and red signifying a run time of less than one hour. The BLX4R also has a control and power lock function to avoid risk of unwanted changes.
The rear panel has 12-15V, 260mA DC input, 3-pin balanced XLR output, 6.3mm jack output at line level, output volume control – adjustable with screwdriver; and two BNC connectors to connect the removable antenna.
