Winter is an incredibly busy time for theatres. On top of the huge touring events, bands, comedians, community theatre productions, and public speaking events, arises the great British tradition of the Christmas Pantomime.
Pantomime has become quintessentially British, but its roots actually lie in the 16th century Italian street theatre tradition of commedia dell'arte.
