BP325 Dual Channel Beltpack

The BP325 is the most commonly used RTS belt-pack. It offers two independent channels of full-duplex intercom, and provides the necessary amplification to drive mono or stereo format headsets to suit the application. With its comprehensive microprocessor assisted programming it may be configured to suit different situations. Easy to use, lightweight, and compact, it is built to withstand the rigours of life in the professional environment. As well as the standard grey colour, this model is also available in black.

Features
  • Stereo or mono operation
  • User programmable functions, microprocessor assisted
  • Speak to channels 1 and 2 separately or simultaneously
  • Separate listen level controls for each channel
  • Separate Talk buttons with green LED indicator for each channel
  • Talk buttons offer latching and non-latching modes
  • Mic amp limiter-circuit protects against overloads and signal distortion
  • Internal adjustments for side-tone on each channel
  • Call function allows call signal to be sent and received between stations
  • Remote 'mic-kill' signal (24kHz) generate/recognition facility
  • Mono and stereo headphone outlets on bottom panel, 4-pin and 5-pin XLR
  • Input and loop-through 3-pin XLR sockets on bottom panel
  • 'Programme' audio input (local belt-pack use only) with dedicated level control
  • Rugged, lightweight, high impact polycarbonate case

The operator may adjust the level of channel 1 and 2 in his headset using the two independent volume controls. He or she can communicate on channel 1 and 2 individually or simultaneously using the two separate Talk buttons and may latch the microphone in the open position or choose for it to mute when the channel Talk button is released. The level of the microphone signal (side-tone) heard in the headsets may be adjusted internally.

The call-light button may be used to attract the attention of other users on a selected channel. If another operator calls, the red call-light flashes brightly while a green LED identifies which of the two channels is calling.

If a microphone elsewhere on the system has been left open in a noisy surrounding, the 'mic-kill' facility on the BP325 can be used to shut down all open microphones on that channel providing the other stations support this feature.

Programme audio may be injected into the beltpack via the 'loop-through' 3-pin XLR on the bottom panel. Internal jumpers change the function of the XLR connector and assign programme audio to headphone left, right or both. A dedicated level control allows programme audio to be balanced against communications audio. This facility is local to the BP325 belt-pack only and no other user will hear the programme material.

The high bridging impedance of the belt-packs (10,000 ohms typically) ensures that system audio levels are not altered as units are taken in and out of circuit.

BP319 Single Channel Belt-Pack

The recently introduced BP319 belt-pack supercedes the BP318. It is microprocessor controlled and, like its predecessor, it offers a single channel of full-duplex communication. By popular demand, a second XLR connector has been added to allow belt-packs to be looped together. The BP319 is supplied with either a 4-pin or 5-pin XLR headset outlet. The two types are listed below as separate items. As well as the standard grey colour, these models are also available in black.

Features
  • Single channel operation
  • User programmable functions, microprocessor assisted
  • Level control for headset volume
  • Talk button offers latching and non-latching modes
  • Mic amp limiter circuit protects against overloads and signal distortion
  • Internal adjustment for side-tone
  • Call function allows call signal to be sent and received between stations
  • Audible 'incoming call-alert' feature, front panel selectable
  • Remote 'mic-kill' signal (24kHz) recognition facility, front panel selectable
  • Headset outlet on bottom panel, 4 or 5-pin XLR (choose when ordering)
  • Auto-sensing headset outlet detects if a mic is dynamic or electret and will automatically power an electret mic.
  • Communications in and loop-through sockets on bottom panel (3-pin XLR)
  • Rugged, water resistant aluminium case

Pressing the Talk button allows communication with other stations and the operator may latch the microphone in the open position or choose for it to mute when the channel Talk button is released.

Audio level in the headset is adjusted with the dedicated volume control. The level of the operator’s own voice heard in the headset (side-tone) may be adjusted with a small screwdriver.
Pressing the call button will attract the attention of other operators. If another station calls, the belt-pack’s red LED call light will illuminate. An audible call alert in the headset may be programmed to sound.

Mic-kill is a facility which allows all open mics on a communications channel to be switched to mute. It is used to shut down microphones that have been inadvertently left open in noisy surroundings. Suitably equipped master stations generate a 24kHz tone mic-kill tone which the BP 319 can recognise, although it cannot initiate them. In the event of a mic-kill signal being received, if the belt-pack’s microphone is open it will automatically revert to mute until the Talk button is pressed again. Mic-kill recognition may be switched off if necessary.

BP351 Two Channel (Selectable) Belt-Pack

The recently introduced BP351 beltpack supercedes the BP350. It is microprocessor controlled and, like its predecessor, it can be selected to operate on either of the two available full-duplex intercom channels. By popular demand, a second XLR connector has been added to allow belt-packs to be looped together. The BP351 is supplied with either a 4-pin or 5-pin XLR headset outlet. The two types are listed below as separate items. As well as the standard grey colour, these models are also available in black.

Features
  • Two channel (selectable) operation
  • User programmable functions, microprocessor assisted
  • Level control for headset volume
  • Talk button offers latching and non-latching modes
  • Mic amp limiter-circuit protects against overloads and signal distortion
  • Internal adjustment for side-tone
  • Call function allows call signal to be sent and received between stations
  • Audible 'incoming call-alert' feature, selectable on front panel
  • Remote 'mic-kill' signal (24kHz) recognition facility, selectable on front panel

The channel-select button allows the operator to decide which of the two available communications channels is active. If simultaneous communications with both channels is required please refer to the BP325 headset station description.

Pressing the Talk button allows communication with other stations. The operator may latch the microphone in the open position or choose for it to mute when the channel Talk button is released.

Audio level in the headset is adjusted with the dedicated volume control. The level of the operator’s own voice heard in the headset (side-tone) may be internally adjusted with a small screwdriver.
