Cloud media mixers have been designed as a solution for systems integrators whereby a product is required to be compact yet allow a number of audio sources to be combined with a removable media source and output into a single audio output.
A four channel mixer with three line level inputs, one microphone input, FOH (front of house) input, auxiliary input, and emergency input. In addition to the inputs of the MX141M, it has functionality including Bluetooth receiver, USB input for removable media, and FM aerial input. The integrated media player is compatible with MP3 files from FAT32 formatted USB memory stick of up to 16GB in capacity. Sample rates of 128kbps to 320kbps and up to 2,000 files can be accessed. The included Bluetooth aerial provides support for connection of compatible media devices, whilst the FM can store up to nine stations within the bandwidth of 87-108Mhz.
An emergency input via balanced phoenix style connector automatically mutes all other channels to conform to PA/VA regulations. An internal jumper determines whether the microphone channel should remain unmuted for announcements.
The front facing panel of the MX141M has all output level controllers, source switching, and transport buttons, as well as a display screen for status monitoring. An included infrared controller operates most functionality of the media player and reduces the need for additional buttons on the front panel. A combination XLR/jack microphone input allows an additional input that is mixed with the selected music source. 12V phantom power is accessible via an internal jumper switch. A USB input is positioned to the upper left for use with compatible removable flash drives. The master output section has a rotary volume controller along with HF and LF rotary EQ controllers and a 5-stage LED VU. A power switch is located to the far right of the mixer, with LED illustrating power on.
The rear facing panel of the media mixer houses all other I/O connectivity including unbalanced stereo RCA (phono) inputs for channels 1, 3, and 4 – with gain controls for inputs 3 and 4. Front of house input is via dual 6.35mm jack socket, whilst auxiliary output is via dual RCA (phono). The main output is via balanced 6.35mm jack sockets, balanced phoenix style connections, or unbalanced RCA (phono) sockets. Emergency input, output mute connections are via phoenix style connectors.
