These modules interface standard audio signals with a DANTE audio network, providing 'flexibility, economy and simplicity' to DANTE networked audio systems. Built in RDL's 'Rack-Up' packaging, they will mount directly to surfaces or using a range of mounting options. Each provides either line-level or microphone/line inputs and line outputs from two or four DANTE network audio channels. They are offered with or without a POE (power over Ethernet) facility.
DANTE is a software and hardware solution, offering high-performance audio distribution over standard IP networks, supporting hundreds of simultaneous channels of uncompressed audio with low latency and accurate synchronization. For further information, read DANTE Networking Basics.
RU-LB2, RU-LB2P 2x2 Line/Dante, terminal block
RU-LB2 converts two line-level audio sources to Dante networked digital audio channels. Each input is equipped with a front-panel gain trimmer and associated Dual-LED VU meter to facilitate optimal input gain adjustment. Each input supports the complete range of normal unbalanced -10dBV and balanced +4dBu line-level sources. Input gain adjusted according to the Dual-LED VU meter assures an operating level that preserves full headroom with the lowest noise floor. It is powered from an optional PS-24AX 24V DC power supply.
Also available as RU-LB2P, which has the same functionality as RU-LB2, however it can be powered by POE or optional PS-24AX power supply.
Digital audio protocol: Dante. Transmission rate: 100Mbps. Supported sample rates: 44.1/48kHz. Supported bit depth: 24bits. Audio operating level: -18dBFS = +4dBu. Input level (4dBu): -16dBu to +12dBu, +22dBu, maximum. Input impedance: Greater than 20kohms. Output level: +4dBu, nominal. Output impedance: 150ohms, balanced; 75ohms, unbalanced. Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz. Power requirements: 24Vdc at 120mA. Dimensions (WxHxD): 145.8 x 41.7 x 162.6mm. Weight: 640g
RU-LB4, RU-LB4P 4x4 Line/Dante, terminal block
RU-LB4 has the same functionality as RU-LB2, however it provides four input channels and four output channels.
Also available as RU-LB4P, which has the same functionality as RU-LB4, however it can be powered by POE or optional PS-24AX power supply.
RU-MLB2, RU-MLB2P 2x2 Mic/Line/Dante, terminal block
RU-MLB2 converts two Dante audio channels to balanced line level. Each output provides +4dBu balanced for a network digital audio level of -18dBFS. The output directly interfaces with other professional and commercial equipment without the need for additional gain. Crosstalk is below the noise floor between all outputs across the entire audio spectrum. The noise floor is better than 80dB below operating level. A single front-panel positioned, green signal LED corresponds to each of the two Dante input channels. Received audio level is indicated on the variable-intensity LED indicator, facilitating setup when a networked computer is not connected at the module’s location. RU-MLB2 is powered from an optional PS-24AX 24V DC power supply.
Also available as RU-MLB2P, which has the same functionality as RU-LB2, however it can be powered by POE or optional PS-24AX power supply.
Digital audio protocol: Dante. Transmission rate: 100Mbps. Supported sample rates: 44.1/48kHz. Supported bit depth: 24bits. Audio operating level: -18dBFS = +4dBu. Microphone input level: 56dBu, dynamic, -36dBu, maximum; -36dBu, condenser, -19dBu, maximum unclipped, -14dBu, maximum soft clipped. Input impedance: Greater than 1kohm. Line input level: +4dBu, balanced; -10dBV, unbalanced. Input impedance: Greater than 20kohms. Output level: +4dBu, nominal. Output impedance: 150ohms, balanced; 75ohms, unbalanced. RU-RN22 2x2 Mic/Line/Dante
RU-RN22 has two analogue mic/line inputs, two Dante/AES67 network digital audio channel inputs, two Dante/AES67 network audio channel outputs, and two analogue mic/line outputs. Each output stage, local analogue or network digital, is driven by an incorporated mixer fed from all four RU-RN22 inputs. The module also allows independent control of all mixer levels plus multiple DSP filters with adjustable parameters. Each DSP filter may be set to None (audio pass-through), High-Pass, Low-Pass, Shelf High/Low or Notch Boost/Cut. Multiple filters may be set to the same function to obtain higher order filtering. RU-RN22 factory default settings provide high-quality converters that feed professional line-level outputs from two Dante/AES67 network received audio channels. Those settings also convert two analogue line-level, dynamic or condenser microphone sources to Dante/AES67 network audio channels. The interface provides a 3-pin XLR or a detachable terminal block for connection to each analogue input or output. Normal operating line level is +4dBu balanced for -18dBFS. The balanced terminal blocks may be wired unbalanced. RU-RN22 can be powered via PoE or by optional PS-24AX power supply.
Digital audio protocol: Dante or AES67. Transmission rate: 100Mbps. Supported sample rates: 44.1/48/88.2/96kHz. Supported bit depth: 24bits. Audio operating level: -18dBFS = +4dBu. Reference level: 0dBFS = +22dBu. Input level: -56dBu, minimum; +4dBu, maximum, +4dBu/-18dBFS. Input level: +22dBu, maximum. Input impedance: Greater than 1.2kohms. Nominal output level: +4dBu, line, balanced; -46dBu, mic, balanced. Maximum output level: +22dBu, line, balanced; =28dBu, mic, balanced. Output attenuators: 0 to -63dB and OFF, 1dB steps, software controlled. Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz. Power requirements: PoE Class 0, or 24Vdc at 180mA (4.3W).
