CANFORD SC FIBRE TERMINATION PANELS - Broadcast style, Senko fiber couplers, MM and SM
A range of broadcast-style, fibre termination patch-panels supplied fully-populated with industry-approved Senko SC fibre through-couplers. They feature zirconia (SM) or phosphor bronze (MM) ferrules and tight-tolerance housings to ensure exceptionally accurate connector alignment and fibre face-contact, resulting in lower loss and greater reliability than commercial-grade types. The Senko couplers also feature an internal 'light shutter' which although not an environmental seal, does offer some protection from large particle ingress and protects against laser spillage from unmated 'live' ports.
A single row of 16, 20 or 24 simplex or duplex, multi-mode or single-mode couplers is standard; mixed layouts (LC, SC, ST), mixed modes and other connector counts are available to special order.
The simple, rugged, panel design features a rigid aluminium extrusion with a unique coupler-mounting sub-frame. The couplers are tightly clamped (no rattle) with front faces presented flush with the panel front. A simple cranked lacing-bar supports rear patchcords or bulk fibres and gives easy access to the rear sockets. A designation-strip holder with snap-on cover is fitted above each coupler row and permits paper strips to be inserted before or after installation; 7.5mm of printable height is available. Templates for printing designation strip labels, available as a DWG file for AutoCAD and compatible applications, can be downloaded from the appropriate product page on the Canford website.
