RDL AV INTERFACES - D Series

TPS8A Active two-pair, 3.5mm jack

With single, unbalanced 3.5mm jack input this active, two-pair sender is compatible with Format-A devices via RJ45 connection. The input can be connected to consumer audio equipment with a standard -10dBV level output. The signals are then amplified and routed to output cable pairs B and C. As the modules only drive two cable pairs, they can also accept both signal and power from another mic or line level Format-A sender. Format-A connection via RJ45 connectors. TPSL1A Active single-pair, dual RCA (phono)/3.5mm jack

TPRX3A With 3-channel channel selector

TPRX3A is a three-pair audio receiving and switching module compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. Three audio sources are available, corresponding to the three signal pairs A, B and C. The front facing panel of TPRX3A features three pushbuttons, each corresponding to one of three inputs. When a button is pushed, the corresponding audio input is fed to the output and any previously selected source is shut off. Only one source may be selected at a time. If the button for a selected source is pushed again, all inputs are turned off. An LED adjacent to each button shows which source is selected. When TPRX3A is not being used, its display switches to a dim intensity to avoid being a visual distraction. The unit may be powered directly from a 24Vdc power supply using either the power jack or the detachable terminal block. Weight: 111.g

BT1A Format-A Interface

Available in white (D-BT1A), black (DB-BT1A), and stainless steel (DS-BT1A) finishes, this Bluetooth receiving module is compatible with Format-A, twisted pair receivers using CAT cable with RJ45 terminations. POWER AMPLIFIERS


PA3 Mono 6.5W amplifier, with headphone amplifier

A single Decora style unit designed to drive a 4ohm or 8ohm speaker at 6.5W or 3.5W respectively, and a separate headphone via 3.5mm jack output positioned on the front facing panel of the chassis. The input of the PA3 is via terminal block and can be unbalanced or balanced. All connectivity, with exception of headphone output, is located on the rear panel. Switches positioned on the side of the unit allows for amplifier muting when headphones are connected, and input sensitivity switching. There are no illuminated indicators on the front panel, and therefore suited to hotel rooms or other rooms where darkness is required. A rotary volume controller allows for output adjustment.

TPA1A Mono 6.5W amplifier, Format-A

TPA1A modules are two pair audio amplifier modules compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. Each TPA1A receives stereo audio and 24Vdc power through a rear-panel RJ45 jack. The left and right audio signals received on pairs B and C of the twisted pair cable are summed to mono and amplified. The amplified output level is set by an internal VCA which is controlled by a front-panel volume control.

TPA1A circuits are all designed for low power consumption, and amplification is provided by a Class D power stage. When the user reduces the audio level to minimum, the class D output stage is switched off. This sleep mode remains active until the user turns up the output level. Weight: 111.1g

HEADPHONE AMPLIFIERS


HPA3 Headphone/power amplifier

Also available in black (DB-HPA3) or stainless steel (DS-HPA3), this headphone amplifier can also be utilised as a 3.5watt power amplifier with two outputs. The rear panel houses balanced input, speaker output, and DC power input on detachable terminal block. Two recessed switches allow the user to mute the power amplification stage of the unit, and the second for input sensitivity. HA1A Stereo amplifier with 3.5mm jack output, Format-A

Available in white (D-HA1A), black (DB-HA1A), or stainless steel (DS-HA1A) finishes, this Format-A compatible headphone amplifier offers a single stereo, 3.5mm headphone jack output with rotary output controller. Each channel of the stereo signal is 25mW into 100ohms, and has a frequency response of 10Hz to 40kHz, +/-1dB into 100ohms. The RJ45 input connector is located next to an RJ45 Format-A loop-through connection to link multiple units in series. Harmonic distortion: Less than 0.01%, 1kHz, 10mW. Noise: less than -90dB. PSP1 2W active loudspeaker with local volume control

PSP1 is a compact active loudspeaker that accepts either a -10dBV unbalanced or a +4dBu balanced signal on the rear-panel detachable terminal block. Amplification is provided by a Class D power stage with audio filtering. The Class D output stage produces negligible heat for all levels of expected voice or music modulation. The amplified output level is controlled by a front-panel volume control. PSP1 includes an analogue compressor/limiter that allows higher sound output levels possible without clipping. SP1A 2W passive loudspeaker

This 2 watt, 8ohm, Decora-style loudspeaker has been designed to ‘produce sonic presence within an extended frequency range expected from larger speakers’. A frequency range of 150Hz to 20kHz is complimented with internal filters which ‘roll-off’ frequencies outside of the applicable range, giving for an increase in output capability and reduction of distortion. Dispersion is hemispherical and at almost 180 degrees. RDL suggest running with compatible amplifier rated up to 10W maximum. Available in white, grey, black, or stainless steel finishes. TPSM2A Dual microphone input

This mic preamp provides +48V phantom power to the two balanced 3-pin XLR microphone inputs, each with switchable 40dB or 60dB input gain settings. Automatic gain can also be selected and applied to both inputs. Format-A compatible, this module drive two cable pairs and can accept both power and signal from a compatible Format-A sender at line or mic level. A panel that allows the remote selection of audio or video sources via two front panel mounted momentary pushbuttons. RC3M 3-channel remote level with mute

Available in white (D-RC3M), black (DB-RC3M), and stainless steel (DS-RC3M) finishes, this Decora style module allows the user to remotely control the level of three channels with 10kohm potentiometers and accompanying mute buttons. LEDs indicate the muting of the corresponding channel with green identifying on, and red off. Control output is on the rear of the module and via RJ45 connector for standard twisted pair interconnection between module and mixer. Weight: 0.16kg


RCS4 4-channel remote

RCS4 is designed for use where the sources are to be selected from a single or from multiple remote control locations, and visual indication is desired. The remote is designed to directly interface with RU-SX4A audio selector. A momentary pushbutton sends a stepping signal back to the RDL control module. When connected to an RU-SX4A, pushing the button on the RCS4 causes the source to advance sequentially to the next input. The audio is muted during stepping to avoid annoying bursts of audio.


RC4ST 4-channel remote

Designed for use with ST-SX4 audio switcher, this panel allows the remote selection of audio or video sources via four front panel mounted momentary pushbuttons. A red LED, associated with each pushbutton illuminates when that channel is active. Also available in white (D-RC4ST), black (DB-RC4ST), and stainless steel (DS-RC4ST). Connections: Terminal block. RLC10 Remote level with rotary optical encoder

Available in white (D-RLC10), black (DB-RLC10), and stainless steel (DS-RLC10), this control device allows the user to adjust the level at single or multiple locations. The continuous rotary controller employs an optional encoder, and is compatible with RDL VCA or OEM equipment that has 0-10Vdc ramp inputs. Up to nine RLC10 controllers can be wired in parallel, with the master control using CAT5/6 UTP cable. A switch on the rear panel allows the user to switch between ‘master’ and ‘slave’ modes. RLC3 Remote level with presets

Available in white (D-RLC3), black (DB-RLC3), and stainless steel (DS-RLC3), RLC3 has been designed to ‘directly interface’ with RDL control modules including ST-VCA3, RU-VCA2A, and RU-VA6A, that have a 0-10Vdc control input. Four momentary push buttons allow the user to select from ‘MIN’, ‘LOW’, ‘NORM’, and ‘HIGH’ levels. Three of the four preset levels can be adjusted before being concealed when fitted in place. Adjustments include -10dB to off, MIN; -5dB to -40dB, LOW; and -3dB to -30dB, NORM. HIGH is set at 10kOhm, 0dB. Weight: 99.8g


RT2 Remote with on/off switching

The front facing panel of RT2 features two push buttons, both with associated LEDs. In a typical installation, RT2 may be used to turn an audio or video source on or off. To turn on an audio source, RT2 may be connected to an RDL ST-SSR1 or ST-RX2 solid-state audio switch. For video switching, an RDL TX-MVX may be used. In either of these setups only one output terminal is needed for triggering, therefore a single shielded pair (3-conductor cable) is required. For more complex switching networks, both outputs (ON and OFF) may be used. In an audio or video control installation, RT2 may be mounted adjacent to an RDL remote volume control, such as the RLC2, RLC3 or RLC10K. Upon initial power-up, the OFF mode is selected. SFRC8 SourceFlex series, 8-sources with amplifier

Available in white (D-SFRC8), black (DB-SFRC8), and stainless steel (DS-SFRC8) finishes, this Decora style module is part of the RDL SourceFlex series and allows the user to remotely switch and control the level of up to eight channels of incoming audio, and deliver an amplified output of 3.5W into an 8ohm speaker. A numerical, 7-segment LED display illuminates to show the selected channel. I/O connectivity is via terminal connections. A switch located on the rear facing panel allows the engineer to fix the balanced line-level output at +4dBu, or select variable output - adjusted by the rotary controller located on the front panel. The unbalanced output is 12dB below the balanced output. Weight: 138.34g


SFRC8L SourceFlex series, 8-sources
