Rycote microphone Foams are slip-on foam windshields, designed to protect the microphone head against light wind and pop noise. Made of durable, high quality, open-cell acoustic foam, resistant to moisture and UV light, these windshields offer up to 20dB wind noise attenuation, whilst keeping high frequency loss to a minimum.
Foams are listed with details of the diameter and depth of the recess to take the microphone. The 'hole' size given is the range of microphone diameters that can be accommodated. The length given is the length of microphone that will be covered by the foam. A foam should be chosen which will cover both the end of the microphone and all of the slots or other apertures in the microphone body.
This series of foams are suitable for smaller lavalier microphones with a diameter of 2.8mm and a length of up to 15mm, making them compatible with microphones such as Beyerdynamic MCE 7, Countryman B6, Sennheiser MKE-1, Sony ECM-88, and Voice Technologies VT500/506/910. These slip on foams offer a reduction of wind and pop noise up to 20dB.
Available in black, beige or brown, these lavalier foams are compatible for lavalier microphones with a diameter of 4.5mm and up to 15mm in length. These slip on foams offer a reduction of wind and pop noise up to 20dB and are compatible with microphones including Sony ECM-77, Shure SM93, Sennheiser MKE-2, and DPA 4060/4061/4088.

This series of lavalier windshield have the same audio properties as Lavalier Foams however they have an additional Neoprene coating that offers protection against light rain.
Available in a choice of colours, the Lavalier Windjammer is designed to give additional 12dB noise attenuation against wind noise and clothing rustle when used in conjunction with Lavalier Foams.
