With two rows of connectors in 1U panels, each row with 16, 20, 24, 32 or 48 connectors, depending on model, these 3G HD-SDI termination panels are intended for 3G and 1.5G high definition, standard definition and analogue video applications. This redesign of the original DIN style connector, using precision components impedance matched to 75 ohms, make it suitable for 3G HD-SDI and frequencies up to 3GHz.
Manufactured from a lightweight, but extremely rigid, aluminium extrusion, panels are fully-populated with up to 48 pairs of Coax Connectors 3G, 75 ohm isolated DIN 1.0/2.3 adapters, equally spaced across the panel. Due to the high connector-density only a single lacing-bar is fitted to the rear of the panel. On the front, above and below each row of connectors, sits a designation-strip holder with snap-on cover, allowing paper inserts, with 7.5mm of printable height, to be inserted before or after any installation.
The DIN 1.0/2.3 series is used to achieve a very high density of connections on panels and thus may require the use of the dedicated slim-line removal tool to release the mating latch and to un-mate the connector.
