Boom Poles Adapter

Supplied as standard with Rycote modular windshield kits, 048402 adapter is an alternative to a pistol grip, which connects a microphone stand or boom to the suspension. A threaded insert in the base fits 3/8 inch threaded studs on stand or boom. A circular plate fits to the suspension with angle-adjustment and locking accomplished by a ratchet lever.

PCS-Boom Connector

185801, 3/8-inch PCS-Boom Connector has been designed to give the sound recordist or boom pole operator a quick fitting and releasing solution to attach microphones or microphone suspensions to a boom pole such as the Panamic boom poles - see PANAMIC BOOM POLES (FISHPOLES) - Carbon fibre for more details. Compatible with 3/8-inch threaded boom poles, the installation and removal from the boom pole can be undertaken with one hand by using the sprung collar mechanism.

Included: 1x PCS-Boom Connector, 1x 3/8-inch Adaptor Tip with leather washer, 1x Hex key.

Dimensions (HxWxD): 136 x 58 x 30mm. Weight: 53g, including Adaptor Tip.

Classic Adapter

Part of the Rycote PCS series, 185807 Classic Adapter allows connectivity between a Rycote windshield and PCS-Boom Connector. An included XLR ‘holder’ bracket is positioned with a slight ‘kick angle’ for clearance, and allows the user to neatly position the XLR with 360 degree rotation.

Dimensions (HxWxD): 80 x 90 x 60mm. Weight: 76g, packed.

Cyclone Adapter

185808 Cyclone Adapter allows connectivity between Rycote Cyclone series windshield and PCS-Boom Connector. See RYCOTE MICROPHONE WINDSHIELDS AND SUSPENSIONS - Blimp Style for details of Cyclone windshields. An included XLR ‘holder’ bracket is positioned with a slight ‘kick angle’ for clearance, and allows the user to neatly position the XLR with 360 degree rotation.

Dimensions (HxWxD): 80 x 90 x 60mm. Weight: 86g, packed.

PCS-Tips

Available in two sizes; 3/8-inch thread or 5/8-inch thread, these packs of two PCS-Boom adapter tips have been designed as part of the Rycote PCS series to affix to secondary microphone clips, shock mounts, or windshields so that the user can quickly swap between accessories. Each adaptor tip comes fitted with leather washer.

PCS-Organizer

185800 is a quick release/attach microphone connector that has been designed to fit to flat surfaces such as desk or wall, and is therefore handy for space saving in OB vans or studio tech rooms. The polycarbonate ABS manufactured adaptor includes a 3/8-inch threaded PCS-Tip adaptor to ensure compatibility with most industry standard fittings. A dual-locking system prevents accidental release. 4x M4 washers are included for mounting to surface.

PCS-Lite

Available with either 3/8-inch thread (185802) or 5/8-inch thread (185812), PCS-Lite is a polycarbonate ABS manufactured connector that offers a simple and economical solution to quick release microphone clamps or holders. A quick release collar allows the user to either release or connect the included PCS-Tip to the main body of the adaptor.

PCS-Spigot

185803 is an aluminium manufactured, quick release connector that allows the user to connect to 16mm Spigot fitting and 3/8-inch thread via the included PCS-Tip. The knurled finish on the adaptor enables the user better grip to use the twist and pull unlocking mechanism.

PCS-Utility

185804 is much like the PCS-Spigot however the female connector is 3/8-inch (as opposed to Spigot), and the addition of two Hex screws allows the user to fasten connection for longevity.

PCS-Utility Kit

These kits, available in small (185809) or large (185810) include the PCS-Utility adaptor alongside a half-coupler for mounting to a pole or tube. PCS-Utility Kit Small is compatible with tubes 32-35mm in diameter whilst the PCS-Utility Kit Large is suitable for tubes of 48-51mm in diameter.

PCS-Artic Arm

Discontinued

500101/500111 PCS-Artic Arm is an variable friction articulated arm accessory suitable for mounting microphones, microphone accessory, or windshield. 500101 measures 58.4 x 7.5 x 16.3cm including a Manfrotto Super Clamp to enable clamping to round or square surfaces ranging from 1.3cm to 5cm, and with a maximum 3kg payload. 500111 measures 24.2 x 7 x 6cm including the Manfrotto Nano Clamp. Both arms are compatible with 3/8-inch sound accessories.

PCS-Cobra

Discontinued

500102 is a 52 x 2cm flexible arm with 3/8-inch threaded connector for use with windshield or shock mount. The other end of the PCS-Cobra features a Hex stud and is compatible with accessories including the Manfrotto Super Clamp. Weight capacity is 0.5kg.

XLR Holder MkII

048493 moulded fitting has a flat area with a hole to take the 3/8 inch stud of a microphone stand or boom; it is then held in place by a microphone clamp, suspension shock-mount or other 3/8 inch threaded accessory. It has a clamp to hold an XLR connector securely, fixed by tightening a knob.

As a result, the XLR is positioned at a set distance from the side of the pole to prevent the XLR becoming unclipped or making noise. The Mk II vesion is also strong enough to support the weight of most standard plug-on radiomic transmitters.

Back-To-Back Clips

048488 Back-to-back clips are used for 'piggy backing' one microphone parallel to another when using a mid-side stereo pair or perhaps simply mounting an extra microphone at a press-conference. They are manufactured from the same Hytrel material as the Lyre supports used in Rycote suspensions and have a soft rubber internal grip to minimise noise and damage on the microphone body.

They fit round and 'slab-sided microphones' between 19 and 25mm diameter. They are supplied in pairs, together with rubber bands to tighten the grip and reduce the risk of slipping.
