Voice Technologies is a manufacturer of high-end miniature lavalier microphones, headworn microphones and earphones for broadcast, theatre, film, video and conference applications. Established in 1998 in Zurich, Switzerland, the company continues the long tradition of Swiss precision engineering and moulding, resulting in exceptional performance and reliability in their range of miniature and ultra-miniature devices.

VT500X-MKII NECKLACE - Omnidirectional, IPX 8 certified

Voice Technologies VT500X-MKII is an extreme version of VT500, and was originally developed for a reality TV show hosted in tropical weather, salt water, and dust. This microphone is designed to be robust and waterproof to IPX-8, allowing water submersion up to 1m for up to 24hours. The microphone has a maximum sensitivity of 79dB, and therefore is compatible with bodypack transmitter that allow a high level of pre-amplification. VT500X-MKII has a 1.5mm diameter cable designed for 'robustness', that is 1.5m in length. A click fastener allows for easy fitting to the performer/actor, and the microphone cable has been moulded directly into the capsule housing, which makes it 'virtually impossible to pull out'.
