Based on the Switchcraft EZ Norm audio jackfield, the StudioPatch 6425 and 9625 are primarily designed for direct connection to Digidesign ProTools 192 I/O system interfaces and similar products wired to the Tascam DTRS convention. Jackfields are internally wired with 110 ohm cable to 25-way D-sub female input and output connectors. All ground / earth lines are bussed to enable the passing of phantom power. Suitable for AES and analogue applications.
Installation time and therefore installed cost are significantly reduced as all normalling connections are pre-made within the jack modules. The ‘normal’ configuration of each channel is changed simply with a standard screwdriver by rotating a cam switch located between the upper and lower connector rows. An audible ‘click’ can be heard as the cam rotates from fully normalled, to un-normalled, to half-normalled. Cams are concealed by an easily removable opaque strip which may also be used as a centre designation strip.
The bantam jacks have a nickel-plated brass body with gold switch-contacts on silver-plated copper-alloy spring blades, guaranteed for 30,000 mating cycles.
Four groups of eight pairs of Bantam/TT ‘Easy Norm’ jacks are wired internally, using 110 ohm cable, to eight 25-way D-sub connectors on the rear panel; four are used for inputs and four for outputs.
Optional accessories: Installation breakout cable assemblies, see below. Bantam patch cords; 110 ohm, low-capacitance, flexible cable fitted with moulded, nickel-plated bantam jacks. Suitable for AES and analogue audio. See SWITCHCRAFT BANTAM PATCHCORDS Digital and analogue.
Forty eight pairs of Bantam/TT ‘Easy Norm’ jacks are wired internally, using 110 ohm cable, to twelve 25-way D-sub connectors on the rear panel; six are used for inputs and six for outputs.
Optional accessories: As for the StudioPatch 6425.
