A series of in-ear monitoring earphones from Beyerdynamic and handmade in Heilbronn, Germany. The four professional in-ear monitors of the DT IE series have been specially developed for stage and live applications.
Meeting the high demands of musicians, singers and sound engineers the IEM earphones offer both sound quality and wearing comfort. The low-distortion dynamic TESLA.11 driver system ensures excellent sound, whilst it is more compact than multi-way balanced armature systems. This design enables a particularly slim shape and, in conjunction with different ear tips, it ensures a more shaped fit. In addition, the detachable cable has a gold-plated MMCX connector system to minimise structure-borne noise. There are optimised sound signatures for various applications including critical listening, low frequency instruments such as bass and drums, guitar and vocals, and classical instrumentation.
DT 70 IE Mixing and critical listening
DT 70 IE was specially developed for sound engineers in the studio and live sound engineers for whom precision and fidelity are important for mixing and critical listening. The 'physiologically linear-tuned' sound signature is based on the Fletcher-Munson curve, which takes into account the human ear’s volume-dependent perception in relation to frequency.

DT 71 IE Drum and bass instruments
DT 71 IE was specially designed for drummers and bass players. The chosen sound signature provides a powerful bass foundation that accurately reproduces low frequencies. The tuned treble profile ensures a detailed reproduction of cymbals, percussion and the overtones of the bass guitar. The slightly reduced mid frequencies create additional transparency and clarity so that the overall reproduction always remains balanced.

DT 72 IE Guitar and voice
DT 72 IE was specially developed with guitarists and singers in mind. The customised sound signature offers a discreetly tuned bass that provides the necessary foundation without the low frequencies becoming too prominent. Natural sounding low-mid frequencies ensure a transparent sound whilst reducing distracting frequencies. In addition, the customised frequency response between 200Hz to 500Hz compensates for the so-called occlusion effect, which occurs when the outer ear canal is closed by earphones. As a result, the sound is often perceived as muffled - however this is not the case with DT 72 IE. The upper mid frequencies are slightly boosted, which enhances the presence and assertiveness of the guitar and voice in the mix. The sound signature is rounded off by fine trebles that provide the necessary brilliance without sounding harsh.

DT 73 IE Classic instruments and keyboards
DT 73 IE was specially developed for string, wind and keyboard instruments. The linear bass and midrange reproduction between 20Hz and 1kHz ensures a natural reproduction that reproduces the output signal. A subtle boost in the high frequency range from 5kHz ensures precise overtones without making the sound appear sharp or overemphasised.
