Mic Arms

m!ka Mic Arm

m!ka microphone arms are internally wired as standard, and use an elegant, single-tube design with articulated joints and internal springs, which may be adjusted with one hand. Two different reaches are offered, along with option of two finishes, black and natural aluminium. The microphone arms support microphones up to 2kg and can be mounted directly to surfaces using either a flush bracket or G-clamp, or raised higher by using the support pole.

Versions with OnAir LED incorporate a dual colour red/white LED ring adjacent to the microphone clamp to enable a 'mic live' or 'on air' indication to be given to the presenter. The colour can be toggled by reversing the polarity of the drive voltage. The arm is internally wired with a combination cable, a screened pair plus control pair in overall jacket, and requires 12-24V DC for operation. An OnAir version of the XS Mic Arm (535mm) is also available for those requiring a lesser reach.

m!ka Mic Arms are available with unterminated cable or fitted with XLR connectors. Note: Terminated versions without OnAir LED are terminated with 3-pin female XLR at the top and a 3-pin male XLR at the base, whereas terminated versions of those Mic Arms with OnAir LED are terminated with a 3-pin female XLR at the top and a 5-pin male XLR at the base.

m!ka Mic Arm TV

These horizontal microphone arms have been designed specifically for those who wish to leave their field of vision free these are particularly useful in TV broadcast studios. They have three sections with the second and third sections connected with a vertical adjustment joint. The section closest to the microphone is 200mm in length, the middle section is 250mm in length, and the third section is 230mm in length. They are available in aluminium or black finish.

Table Stands

m!ka Table Stand

This flexible desk stand has been designed for those who wish to have an adjustable microphone arm without the need to fix to a surface. m!ka Table Stand allows a secure fit and professional balancing of your microphone according to its weight. Two knurled screws allow for the adjustment of the microphone's position. Using the same boom arm technology as m!ka Mic Arm, the Table Stand allows you to customize the mic's position within seconds.

A version is available with OnAir dual-color (red/white) indicator - a 360-degree light positioned above your microphone to illustrate current status. Reversing the polarity of the drive voltage to toggle between red and white. These models require a 5-pin XLR on the tail end of the provided cable.

Mic Arm Mounting Hardware and Accessories

There are a number of mounting brackets and accessories available for direct connection to m!ka microphone arms:

PopShield (YT3281)

m!ka PopShield mounts directly to the 5/8-inch thread of your m!ka Mic Arm so that it follows all adjustments of your microphone including turning and tilting.

Table Clamp (YT3210)

For mounting directly to the side edge of a table surface up to 70mm in thickness.

Table Through Mount (YT3215)

For fixing through a desktop up to 25mm in thickness.

Table Mount (YT3216)

For mounting to a desktop surface via three screws.

Bushing (YT3211)

An alternative to the YT3215 table through mount. This requires a larger diameter hole in the desktop surface of up to 45mm in thickness.

Pole Adapter (YT3213)

An aluminium coloured adapter to connect a m!ka Mic Arm to a m!ka System Pole; a black version, YT3613, is also available.

Wall Bracket (YT3214)

This can be used for mounting a m!ka Mic Arm directly to a wall or other sturdy vertical surface.

5/8" Mic Arm Adapter MKII

These 5/8-inch microphone swivel adapters are compatible with existing m!ka microphone arms, with the YT3350 option including a dual colour red/white OnAir indication LED for upgrading existing On Air microphone arms.

Desktop Controllers

hush, hush+

Yellowtec hush and hush+ are desktop controllers that are compatible with Yellowtec OnAir signalling including the On Air Mic Arm and litt pole LEDs. The controllers allow for easy control over status LED signals, and also microphone signal with the hush+. The plug and play concept allows fast handling.

Yellowtec hush is inserted into the chain between 5-pin XLR connector at the bottom end of your m!ka Mic Arm and mixing console. With hush, the microphone signal is looped through unprocessed; with the hush+ the microphone signal is processed via the integrated preamp with gain from 12dB to 75dB at -129dB input referred noise. hush+ also offers microphone mute, whilst high pass filter and phantom power status is controllable via Yellowtec's hush App.

Five different modes, including hush Remote, GPIs, USB-HID or MIDI (USB/Ext.) allows control in a number of situations and setups.
