The PMV 1841 yellobrik is a compact, quad-split, multi-viewer, suitable for applications needing basic quad-split multi-view capability on an HDMI monitor. Four SDI inputs, with format auto-detection, are supported by a single HDMI output. In addition to the video and audio outputs, extensive on-screen signal monitoring tools are included. The module is simple to set up and configure using the integrated, local, rotary / push encoder control and on-screen menu system, or with the free yelloGUI application running on a PC or MAC connected via USB. All settings are automatically stored in flash RAM and retained through power cycling.
The module has three basic modes of operation:
All four inputs are arranged into a fixed quad display. Each input can have the monitoring tools and on-screen overlays individually configured.
One of the four inputs is displayed full screen with the user selected monitoring tools. In this mode two channels of the embedded audio from the selected SDI input are embedded into the HDMI output. Inputs can be selected using the local encoder or yelloGUI.
In quad-split or full-screen mode, each of the four inputs can be individually configured to meet specific monitoring requirements. Waveform monitor, Vectorscope and auto level meters (up to 16 Channels), can be combined with user-defined IMD (text ID), safe area / 4:3 extraction / centre cross markers, video standard, time code and audio and video alarms. The video area can be resized and repositioned within its quadrant (or full screen) allowing meters to be placed around the edge on a black background.
The module can be used to monitor 4K (12G) signals. The four SDI inputs are seamlessly 'stitched' together and down-converted to HD to make a full frame. Note: There are no on-screen monitoring tools available in 4K mode.
YelloGUI Software Application - For Yellobriks
All settings for the PMV 1841 multiviewer can be configured via on-screen menus with the rotary / push encoder on the module. However, the yelloGUI software application provides clear graphical on-screen parameter setting, drag-and-drop positioning, keyboard text input and enhanced information. A virtual image of the module is displayed, showing controls and status information such as the detected video format and HDMI output resolution and frequency. The internal signal-flow is graphically displayed and changes dynamically when a setting is changed. YelloGUI is available for PC or MAC OS and connection is via USB. YelloGUI can be downloaded free of charge (and run in device simulation mode without a yellobrik connected) from:http://www.lynx-technik.com/en/support/download-area/yellogui-software/
